Every month, Singapore Airlines produces a list of discounted KrisFlyer redemption routes. The promotion is called Spontaneous Escapes and as the name suggests it’s just that.
The departure cities and destinations vary each time, but the April Spontaneous Escapes have just been announced and although it’s not as good as last month; there’s at least one good deal for those in Sydney and Canberra. To qualify for the promotion, tickets must be issued online from now till 31 March 2019, for travel from 1 to 30 April 2019 inclusive.
From Sydney and Canberra to and from Singapore you can enjoy discounted business class tickets for only 43,400 KrisFlyer miles. There are other deals on offer departing from Singapore but those aren’t as tempting (especially for anyone based in Australia)
Key Rules to keep in mind:
- Tickets must be booked online within the designated timeframe (waitlisted tickets do not count unless cleared before the promo ends. E.g. I you waitlist a ticket now and it clears in April, you will be charged the full amount. No discount applies).
- Unlike normal redemptions, you can’t cancel
- Unlike normal redemptions, you can’t change the date of your booking
