Singapore is one of my favourite cities in the world and Singapore hotels are by far some of the best city hotels in the world. I often transit through Singapore and always look for an excuse to plan a staycation or long layover in one of the many hotels this amazing city has to offer.
However, instead of just giving you my best Singapore Hotels recommendations. I figured it was only appropriate to reach out to my favourite Singapore based travel bloggers (who love their staycations) and ask them: what are your favourite Singapore hotels?

Secret Life of Fatbacks is a luxury travel and dining website which provides coverage and reviews of the newest and best luxury hotel experiences in Singapore and the Asia-Pacific. Its editor, Shawn Loh, is a full-time lawyer who documents his dining and luxury hotel adventures on his personal Instagram account, @larvitar.
The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore
My favourite hotel experience in Singapore has got to be my stay in the Premier Bay View Room with Jacuzzi at The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore, which directly overlooks the dazzling expanse that is Marina Bay.
The room is equipped with an ensuite private jacuzzi on its outdoor sundeck which lies just inches above the waters of the bay.
Aside from feeling like I was Kanye West, Jennifer Lopez or similar as I waved at camera a-clickin’ tourists on their boats as they passed by, I had the tremendous good fortune of catching the National Day Parade weekend rehearsal fireworks that night while sipping on my Pio Cesare wine as I relaxed in the jacuzzi, and it must be said that the sheer directness of view and proximity to the fireworks made me feel like the whole spectacle was my own private fireworks display. It was surreal, and majestic.

• The Ritz-Carlton Millenia Singapore, which boasts sweeping views of the bay and the best club lounge in town.
• The Six Senses Maxwell, a cosy and calming European-style retreat in the heart of the downtown area which offers direct access to the wealth of glorious dining and bar options in the vicinity (definitely check out Keong Saik Road).
Bino Chua – I Wander

Bino Chua is the guy behind I Wander, a travel blog that focuses on destination guides, trip itineraries as well as hotel and aviation reviews. Born out of a genuine desire to share tips and experiences, I Wander was started some ten years ago after an inspiring trip to Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Since then, his travels have reflected his ever evolving bucket list and have spanned places such as North Korea, Pakistan and Iran.
Shangri-la Singapore
This humongous property is a destination in itself, with 3 distinctive wings to cater to your every whim and fancy – the most luxurious one being the Valley Wing where visiting heads of state such as Donald Trump stay when in Singapore. Guests booked here also get to have free-flow Champagne for almost 12 hours each day, afternoon tea, evening cocktails and automatic access to the Horizon Club Lounge. If that is not enough, the in-house Origin Bar is a recommended place for drinks with its award-winning cocktails.
Pan Pacific Singapore
Overlooking Marina Bay, Pan Pacific Singapore is the place to be for 360 degree views of the city skyline with its circular club lounge at the top floor. In terms of rooms, a firm favourite is the Pacific Harbour Studio which comes with one of the biggest tubs you’ll ever see in a hotel room, as well as a balcony that overlooks the bay. In terms of dining, the in-house Japanese restaurant, Keyaki, is the place to go for sushi as well as omakase sets.
Capella Singapore
The closest thing that Singapore has to a luxury resort that you’d otherwise find in Bali or Koh Samui, Capella fulfils that “away from it all” proposition with its ultra high-end rooms and personalised service. The building is a mix of new and old – the lobby is housed in a colonial building while the rooms feature a contemporary design. Nearby, there is FOC, a Spanish restaurant while Tanjong Beach Club further down is the place in Sentosa to see and be seen.
Andrew and Eddie – Mainly Miles

Andrew and Eddie are luxury travel addicts and airline miles experts. They’ve been globe-trotting for over a decade to close-by and far-flung destinations. All flying First and Business Class, and almost always using miles.
In 2017, after much pestering from family and friends, they set up MainlyMiles. They help their readers, predominantly in Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region, maximise their earnings and redemption value in schemes like KrisFlyer, Asia Miles and Avios, from an unbiased and independent perspective.
Raffles Hotel Singapore
Raffles Hotel Singapore is certainly famous, but it’s not just its long history that makes it a firm favourite of ours.
The hotel recently pulled off a superb 2.5-year renovation, completed in mid-2019. We recently had a truly memorable stay, shortly after the reopening.
Our favourite suites (all the rooms at Raffles are suites) are those overlooking The Palm Court. It’s a calm oasis with a superbly manicured lawn and gardens, despite now being surrounded by skyscrapers that would look alien to guests first staying in 1892!
The suite has a parlour (living room), bedroom, dressing room and stunning bathroom with a large free-standing bathtub. A table and chairs on the outdoor terrace have views of the main hotel building, and like all rooms at Raffles there’s personalised butler service.
All guests are entitled to a complimentary Singapore Sling during their stay. Famously invented in the Long Bar, we’d actually recommend taking yours at the residents-only rooftop bar alongside the hotel’s beautiful swimming pool.
If you venture out for a drink – try Loof, Singapore’s first rooftop bar, at the Odeon Towers directly opposite the hotel’s arcade entrance on North Bridge Road.
Swissotel The Stamford
Another favourite of ours is Swissotel The Stamford. Not to be confused with the chain’s “Merchant Court” property at Clarke Quay, this is the tall building located at City Hall and was one of Singapore’s first ever skyscrapers.
The hotel has recently been fully renovated and the rooms have a fresh new modern feel.
The main advantage here? Incredible views from almost every room, all of which have a balcony!
For an extra special experience try one of the Crest Suites. We had a fantastic stay in one last summer. You even get access to an exclusive section of the hotel’s club lounge, including Champagne during the evening cocktail hour.
If you don’t have club lounge access, Bar Rouge on the hotel’s 71st floor has stunning views. Alternatively, head down to Anti:dote next door at the adjacent Fairmont hotel for great cocktails, or $95-a-bottle Champagne on weeknights, including our favourite Billecart-Salmon on Wednesdays.
Immanuel – Flight Hacks
Last but not least, here are my top 3 Singapore hotels you should be adding to your “to stay list”. I would class these as my go-to hotels when I’m in Singapore due to the great locations and price/value for money proposition.
Sofitel City Centre Singapore
The Sofitel City Centre is relatively new and a great location if you’re in Singapore for work. The hotel is in downtown Singapore and conveniently located within walking distance of the Maxwell Food Centre and Burnt Ends (rated one of the best restaurants in the world).
The hotel has a fantastic club lounge (worth the upgrade), and rooms feature the extremely comfortable Sofitel beds which I LOVE.
The swimming pool here will make you feel like you’re in a city of the future, overlooking the futuristic (and also excellent) Oasia Hotel.
Ps. You can use your Accor Plus free night stay at this hotel!
Andaz Singapore
I’m a big fan of the Andaz brand by Hyatt, and the Singapore Andaz is yet another great hotel which should be on your radar. The hotel is right above an MRT station so getting around town is easy. Rooms are modern with a minimalist design aesthetic, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. This hotel is in walking distance from Marina Bay and features an infinity pool overlooking the city and a rooftop bar with some epic views.
I usually book this hotel through Virtuoso since prices can often be similar to booking direct, but you also get US$100 f&b credit + more.
Conrad Singapore
As a Hilton Diamond member, this is usually my go-to for a quick stopover in Singapore. It’s around 20 minutes to the airport, and the hotel is in a convenient location (close to Andaz).
Conrad Singapore has had a significant renovation, and although I wouldn’t call this a luxury hotel, it’s pretty damn nice. The club lounge on the top floor is a great spot to enjoy a drink in the evening, just make sure you turn up early because this place fills up pretty quick!
Singapore Hotels – Summing Up
As you can see, there are plenty of luxury hotels in Singapore, worth your time and money! I love trying new hotels in Singapore, but there are always a few I keep going back to. High on my personal list are the Fullerton Bay hotel and the brand new Raffles.
