Singapore Now Allows Self Testing On Arrival

From tomorrow (March 15h) Singapore will further ease its covid restrictions for inbound arrivals by allowing passengers from VTL flights to take an unsupervised ART test provided it’s an authorised test.

How does it work?

Currently, you need to do a supervised rapid antigen test before flying to Singapore, on arrival you are then required to get a supervised test at one of the many testing facilities around town which costs S$15.

From tomorrow (March 15), passengers will be able to bring their own rapid antigen test and upload the results.

• Step one is to obtain a rapid antigen test at your own expense. This needs to be an approved brand (check the list below)
• Once you arrive into Singapore, your passport number will be linked to the Sync website. After about 30 minutes you should be able to log in by entering your passport number via this page: https://www.sync.gov.sg/sync-for-travellers/log-in
• Once logged in you will be given the option to upload your ART rest. Ignore the “recipient button” everything will be automatically shared with the Singapore authorities. You simply select if you are negative or positive and submit the result.
• There’s no need to upload pictures but you will sign a declaration so the system is mostly trust-based.
• Once you have done this, you’re free to go about your day.
