10 New Melbourne International Flights In 2017
Discover Melbourne’s aviation growth: 10 new flight routes launched in 2017, enhancing global connectivity.2017 is turning out to be Melbourne’s most promising, strongest and perhaps the most demanding year in a long time. In April and May, Virgin Australia and Jetstar launched their LAX-MEL and SGN-MEL route. And as we enter into the second half of the year, China Southern and Air China launches their SZX-MEL route. To date, a total of 3 Melbourne international routes has taken flight with Air China set to launch this coming June 20, 2017.
It seems that Melbourne needs to prove its worth to airlines from around the world and sustain these new services. In light of Qantas flights downgrading its flying capacity from Melbourne to Europe, many travellers look forward to these new routes.
