What Is Accor Plus?
Accor Plus is a little different compared to e Accor Live Limitless; it’s a paid membership scheme which encompasses an Accor ALL Live Limitless account in which you earn points from staying at any of the Accor brand properties such as Fairmont, Sofitel, MGallery, Pullman, Swissôtel and Novotel etc all part of Accor hotels Australia.
The Accor Plus program will set you back $395 annually but comes with a few benefits which can potentially give you the advantage and help save $$. Essentially you pay to play and if you’re a savvy traveller, you aim to win.
The Accor Plus membership is completely separate to Accor Live Limitless but both are combined to earn you valuable reward points.
Accor Plus vs Accor Live Limitless
While Accor Plus is a paid membership, it’s not the same as Accor Live Limitless, also known as Accor ALL. While they are separate, Accor Live Limitless sits alongside Accor Plus. For example, your Silver status will fall under the global Accor ALL program and this is also where you will earn points and elite nights from all your stays.
Accor Plus Membership Benefits
Signing up for an Accor Plus Membership will instantly elevate your Accor Live Limitless (ALL) status to Silver; on top of that, you will also receive the following Accor membership benefits:
Accor Plus complimentary night: each year you are a member, you will receive a complimentary hotel stay at participating Accor properties. This benefit alone is easily worth $400 to $600 which offsets the membership cost!
Accor Plus dining benefit up to 50% off: As an Accor Plus member you will receive up to 50% off your dining bill at participating Accor hotels.
Exclusive hotel discounts: As an Accor Plus member you will also gain access to Red Hot Rooms, with this program you can get up to 50% off hotel rooms.
Accor Partner Benefits: Accor partners with a lot of travel brands, as an Accor Plus member you will gain access to additional discounts at Qatar Airways, Qantas, Europcar, Priority Pass and many other brands.
Accor Membership Cost
Accor Plus membership comes in a variety of tiers and the cost of Accor membership will depend on which one you go for. The entry-level tier of Accor Plus is called “Accor Plus Explorer” while the top tier membership is called “Accor Plus Discovery”.
Accor Plus Explorer Membership
The Accor Membership I recommend to all readers is the Accor Plus Explorer Membership as this offers the most value in my opinion. Explorer has all the features I talk about in this article and for AU$399 it pays for itself right of the bat.
|Membership Type||Membership Cost||Join|
|🏨 Accor Plus Traveller||💰 AU$249||Click here to join|
|🏨 Accor Plus Explorer||💰 AU$399||Click here to join|
|🏨 Accor Plus Discovery||💰 AU$448||Click here to join|
Accor Plus Discovery Membership
Discovery Accor membership cost offers a few extra benefits which are potentially valuable if you want to save money on flights or a cruise.
When you join Accor Plus Discovery, you will get $500 Discovery Dollars which are worth $500. You can then use these Discovery Dollars towards cruises, tours and flights booked through the Discovery Portal.
Here are the specific benefits you could obtain when you join Accor Discovery:
- Up to $2000 off the best available fares on the world’s top cruise lines with more than 10,000 destinations available.
- Up to $1,500 off the best available prices for more than 5,000 tours around the world.
- Earn Discovery Dollars when you book flights through the travel portal: $40 for domestic flights, $150 on international flights and $25 on car hire.
If you’re big into cruising these benefits could be worth the extra $99 but if not, I recommend you go with the standard Accor Plus Explorer program.
Free Stay With Accor Plus At Accor Hotels
The biggest win and potentially a benefit that pays for the annual fee is the free hotel night that comes with your membership. This can be redeemed with most Sofitel, Pullman, MGallery, Grand Mercure, Novotel, Mercure, ibis Styles and ibis hotels around Australia and Asia.
The free hotel night per membership year alone is worth the cost of Accor Plus program. This is especially true when you redeem it for a luxury hotel stay. The Sofitel Darling Harbour Sydney, Sofitel Singapore City Centre and the newly refurbished Swissôtel in Singapore are a few of my personal favourites since these hotels usually cost between $400-$600 per night. If you use this benefit right, you can obtain outstanding value from your Accor Plus membership.
As you can see, it’s very easy to justify the membership fee considering the free nights stay at Accor Hotels can be so valuable. From Australia, Singapore, Vietnam and beyond, there are plenty of Accor Plus luxury hotels where you can enjoy a night away using your Accor Plus membership.
Using your Stay Plus benefit is very easy as you can book it online up to 12 months in advance. The Stay Plus free night is fully refundable so if you decide to change your mind, you can cancel or change your booking with no penalties. Using the Stay Plus benefit is subject to availability so it’s often worth planning in advance to make sure you get the hotel you want. That said, having been an Accor Plus member for more than 5 years, I’ve never had an issue redeeming my free night for the hotel I wanted.
10% Discount On Best Available Rate With Accor Plus Membership
As an Accor Plus member, you receive 10% off the best available public rate (including restricted rates) on any room type in any participating hotel across Asia Pacific. If you’re a regular at any of the Accor properties in the region this is a benefit that can save you a lot of $ when you book directly with Accor either using the Accor website or the Accor mobile app.
The 10% discount also works with private sales on Accor hotels so you can stack these for even bigger discounts on your next stay.
If you’re regularly staying at Accor Hotels, the 10% discount on the best available rates can really add up over a year. Note that the discount is only available when booking direct and can’t be used in conjunction with Accor Gift vouchers, however if you click through via Cash Rewards you can still save an additional % on the total stay.
If you do end up finding the same rates cheaper elsewhere (highly unlikely), you can take advantage of the Accor Hotels Price Guarantee. You can do this within 24h of making the booking via this form [Best Price Guarantee](https://all.accor.com/best-price-guarantee/index.en.shtml)
If you do end up finding a cheaper price, Accor hotels will give you an extra 25% discount on the lower rate you’ve found which the exception of Fairmont, Raffles and Swissotel, at those properties you will only get an additional 10% discount on the lowest rate.
To claim, up load a screenshot via the form above and wait for the refund to be processed, it’s that easy!
Accor Red Hot Rooms
Do you love a good hotel deal? I sure do! With Accor Plus you get access to Accor Red Hot rooms, members-only sales and discounts which you won’t find anywhere else. Accor calls this feature “Red Hot Rooms” and it’s a fortnightly specials list of different properties where you can save a whopping 50% off your stay. You will find a lot of variety in the properties listed from high end all the way down to a budget Ibis property so there’s always something for everyone’s budget.
Red Hot Room deals offer best value for last minute travel so if you’re one of those people who’s always on the go, this benefit can quickly save some dollars!
Red Hot Rooms are released each Friday evening and the sale discount pricing is then available to be booked for the following 2 weeks. This means it’s well worth checking the site frequently to see if there’s a hotel or destination that works for you.
You can easily book Red Hot Rooms via the Accor Plus website, just make sure you’re logged in to see the discounts.
You can only access this via the Accor Plus website (accorplus.com/en/australia/offers).
Up To 50% Off Dining With Accor Plus At Restaurants
While it’s fun to eat out when traveling and exploring new restaurants around the world, sometimes all you want is the convenience of a hotel restaurant! This is where the Accor Plus dining benefit can really save you a lot of money with some sweet dining discounts!
When dining at any of the participating Accor hotel restaurants, you will receive a 50% discount as a couple or 25% when dining solo. Trios will get a 33% discount, and groups of 4 will get 25% off the total food bill. Just make sure you show your Accor Plus membership card or your digital card when asking for the bill!
Best of all, you don’t need to be staying at a hotel to use your Accor Plus discount benefit, just show your card when it comes time to settle the bill.
What’s more, participating restaurants in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji accept multiple cards per table, meaning you enjoy even greater savings on your food bill.
For example, if four adults are dining and two member cards are presented, you’ll receive 50% off the total food portion of your bill (maximum discount per table is 50%).
Don’t forget, when dining in Asia you also receive 15% off drinks!
Your Accor Plus dining benefit also works for hotel breakfast so if you’re staying at a property which doesn’t include breakfast, you can show your Accor Plus card when requesting the bill to get an instant discount of up to 50%. If you travel a lot, the Accor dining benefit will save you hundreds if not thousands in food cost per year.
Accor Plus Dining Discount Structure
- 25% off – 1 member
- 50% off – 1 member and 1 guest
- 33% off – 1 member and 2 guests
- 25% off – 1 member and 3 guests

Instant Silver Accor ALL Status with Accor Live Limited Membership
When you sign up for an Accor Plus membership, you will automatically see your status upgraded to Accor All Silver membership! Normally you’d have to stay at least 10 nights or earn 2,000 status points to unlock this benefit, but it’s included with Accor Plus. Your Accor Live Limitless Silver status will be recognised by all Accor hotels around the world and isn’t limited to Asia-Pacific.
Silver status isn’t the most amazing feature but still worth something. As an Accor All Silver member, you can request late checkouts (or early check-in), free wifi and welcome drinks on arrival for 2 guests. In most hotels, this is limited to soft drinks, wine and beers, but I’ve stayed in many hotels where complimentary cocktails or a glass of champagne are also on offer.
Of course if you’re already Gold or Platinum, you get to keep your status and enjoy the benefits it has to offer in addition to your Accor Plus benefits.

Conclusion: Is Accor Plus worth the $399 fee?
In short; yes! If you travel a few times a year (within Asia Pacific) and plan to stay in any of the Accor properties, the membership fee can be paid off pretty fast.
The dining feature alone can offer a significant saving throughout your membership year. Of course, I don’t recommend you use your Stay Plus certificate on a budget hotel such as ibis. Ideally, you want to get as much value for money as possible; this is very achievable during peak periods.
To give you an example here’s how I made most of my certificate.
Pullman Bunker Bay is one of the few luxury hotels in the Margaret River region of WA; during the summer months, it’s almost impossible to get a room at this hotel during the weekend. If rooms are available, they come at an inflated price.
Normally the nightly rate is between $300-400, but for my example, the rate was $600 a night! Luckily my 1 free night voucher was valid for use, and instead of forking out $600, my price went down to zero. Assuming we will have dinner at the hotel (it’s in the middle of nowhere and dining options are limited) we’ll save an additional 50% on the total food bill when dining out with 2 people.
This is just one particular example, but the fact is there are plenty of luxury hotels around Australia and Asia for which you can use your stay voucher and dining benefits, the Sydney Sofitel Darling Harbour would be a great example and same goes for the Sofitel City Central in Singapore or the beautiful Hôtel des Arts Saigon
