Why your Coles promo code isn’t working

A Coles promo code only works when your order meets the offer’s terms. These are the reasons a code can fail to apply, based on Coles’ own offer terms and help pages:

• You’ve shopped with Coles Online before. First-shop codes are only for customers who haven’t placed a Coles Online order before, and each one can only be redeemed once per customer.
• Your trolley is under the minimum spend. Coles’ first-shop offers running until 3 November 2026 need a spend of $100 or more in one transaction (some first-shop perks need $50). The spend is counted after savings and discounts, and smoking and tobacco products are excluded.
• The offer has ended. Coles’ first-shop codes run until an end date set out in their terms. Once it passes, the code won’t apply.
• The code doesn’t suit how you’re shopping. Some codes are tied to a service type. Coles has previously run a first-shop offer that only worked on Click & Collect orders. First-shop codes are only valid on coles.com.au or the Coles app, and the current ones exclude purchases made through Uber Eats.
• The code belongs to someone else. Coles says promo codes are personal to the people it issues them to and can’t be transferred or sold. Coles’ first-shop offers are only valid for the email address on the account that received them.
• It wasn’t entered exactly. Type the code exactly as shown in the promo code field on the Order summary page, then select Apply. Once it’s accepted, the code shows in the payment details section of your order.
• The offer doesn’t need a code. Some Coles promotions are applied automatically at checkout, such as offers that depend on how much you spend.
• Coles has cancelled the code. Coles can cancel any promo code at any time if it suspects an error, fraud or other abuse of the code.

Can you use more than one Coles promo code?

Yes, as long as you’re eligible for each offer and it’s still valid. Coles says you can add multiple codes at checkout. For example, its first-shop offers running until 3 November 2026 let you stack the $30 off code with the free delivery code on the same order.

Will your discount stay if you modify your order?

Not if the offer has ended. Coles’ first-shop terms say the discount won’t be upheld if you modify your order outside the promotional period. When you modify an order, Coles also recalculates prices, specials, Flybuys points and the order total at the new checkout.

You also need to make your changes before the order cut-off time and check out again within 2 hours of starting them, or you’ll receive your original order.
