To embrace the festive spirit of Christmas, Qantas is flying two Christmas-themed planes throughout December, with frequent flyers gifted double Qantas Points when taking a flight on either aircraft.
One of QantasLink’s Dash-8 Q400 turboprops, or rather the ‘Dasher-8’, is temporarily decorated with a red sleigh pulled by kangaroos. Santa made an appearance for the big reveal, promising to return everyone’s missing bags in addition to offering double points.

Just like the spirit of Australia, Qantas’ second Christmas-themed aircraft is a bit of a letdown. The Boeing 737-800 ‘Roo-Dolph’ now features a festive home screen on its seatback TV’s, with Christmas carols promised to be played throughout boarding.
How Do I Earn Double Qantas Points?
Passengers who are lucky enough to travel on one of Qantas’ festive planes between December 4th and December 31st December 2023 will receive double Qantas Points for their journey.
The two Christmas planes included in this promotion are;
- Bombardier Dash-8 Q400 ‘Dasher-8’ with registration VH-QOW
- Boeing 737-800 ‘Roo-Dolph’ with registration VH-VZG
Two to three days after travel, Qantas will send an email to customers who flew on their festive planes, mentioning their Christmas gift of Double Qantas Points.

How do I register for double points?
There is no need to register for this offer. Simply ensure your QFF number is included on your booking.
When will I receive double points?
Members should allow up to eight weeks to receive their bonus points.
If I fly on multiple festive aircraft can I earn double points again?
Qantas is feeling generous this Christmas, with no limit on the number of times you can earn double points for flying on a festive aircraft.
I forgot to list my QFF number on my booking. Can I still earn double points?
If you travel on a festive aircraft and forget to enter your Qantas Frequent Flyer number, Qantas can manually award double points. Simply call Qantas Customer Service on 131 313.
Are Qantas Business Rewards members eligible for double Qantas Points?
Only the travelling individual will receive double points, not the business.
