Hilton Honors has dished out a third round of status extensions, providing global members with an additional year of benefits. All Hilton Honors Silver, Gold and Diamond members will automatically retain their current status until 31 March 2023, including those who haven’t stayed with Hilton in 2021.
“As we get back to a new season of travel together, we want our loyal guests to know that we made these program changes with them top-of-mind,” said Hilton Honors Vice President and Global Head Jenn Chick.
Faster elite status
Members will find it easier to maintain their membership tier with 2022 status requirements reflecting a 30% reduction from 2019 qualifications.
- Hilton Honors Silver: 7 nights, 3 stays or 17,500 Base Points
- Hilton Honors Gold: 28 nights, 14 stays or 52,500 Base Points
- Hilton Honors Diamond: 42 nights, 21 stays or 84,000 Base Points
These qualifications apply to members retaining their current tier, and those trying to level up. The other good news is that any nights that were earned in 2021 will be carried forwards into 2022 and count towards status qualification in 2023.
Points expiry paused
Hilton Honors will pause the expiry of points until 31 December 2022. Points would normally expire if your account was inactive for 12 months.
Summing up
Status extensions are always welcome news as we navigate changing travel regulations, variants and the effects of the pandemic. Hilton Honors continues to come to the table and lead the way when it comes to making sure their members are looked after.
