I Just Booked A Return Trip To Canada For US$1280 In Business
Book a Return Trip to Canada in Business Class for Just $1,280 – Here's How!Note: this deal has ended, good luck to all those that managed to get a flight!
Sales like this don’t come around too often, but when they do, you simply book and ask questions later.
If there’s one website you should bookmark (no, it’s not my own, I’m not THAT vain), it’s Flyer Talk, specifically the Premium Fares Deals section. I check this page at least once a day to see what’s on offer and because I enjoy seeing what’s out there even though 90% of the time, the deals don’t work for me.
Yesterday, one of the geniuses on FT (H/T Modjo) found a fantastic sale fare which starts in Jakarta or Denpasar and is available to most major US and Candian cities.
As it turns out, I need to be in Toronto this October, so I jumped on this deal because it’s a no brainer!
How To Book?
Fares are disappearing fast, so you probably want to book right now if you’re reading this. The best research method is to use Google Flights, input either CGK or DPS as your departure and then try whatever US or Canadian city. You can then either reach out to your TA or book via an OTA or directly on the Lufthansa website. Personally, I used Amex Platinum travel to lock in this fare for US$1280
The Flight
Most flights are on a Lufthansa flight number but are operated by Singapore Airlines and Air Canda and Lufthansa themselves.
My itinerary will get me from Jakarta to Singapore with Singapore Airlines on their B777 before continuing onto Munich with the Lufthansa A350 (all in Business). After a 9h recovery layover in Munich, it’s then onto Toronto with Lufthansa. On the way back, Air Canada to Munich before returning to Singapore and Jakarta with Singapore Airlines on the A350.
How Many Miles?
Depending on the the program, mileage will vary from 38,000 to just 6,000.
Most likely, I’ll end up sending them to either Aegean Airlines or Singapore Airlines.
