Marriott just launched its latest member promotion for the Asia Pacific region. The new deal will see you get 15% of your room rate credited back as food & beverage credits + a bonus of 5,000 Marriott points on top of any points you would otherwise earn. That’s in addition to a free upgrade!
To get this offer, click here and enter promo code ‘M96’ when searching for hotels. You will then need to go to the “Deals & Packages” tab to select the eligible rates.
Not all hotels are participating in this promotion (although a lot are) so make sure to check the participating hotels here.
As part of this package, you’re entitled to a free upgrade. What this means effectively isn’t too clear, but my guess is that this would be to the next category if you don’t have status already.
15% F&B Credit
As part of the package, you will get (approximately) 15% of the total room rate applied back to your hotel folio. This amount is for each night stay you book under the promotion. For example, if you book two nights and the total stay is $1000 ($500 each night); you will get $75 for each night or a total of $150 discount on your food and beverage expenses at the hotel.
How to Enter The Promo Code
- Click here to get to the promotion page
- Click the “Special Rates” tab
- Click “Corporate/Promo/SET#”
- Enter code M96
- Click find hotels
Two night minimum stay required. This offer is available for new bookings made at participating hotels in the Asia Pacific between September 27, 2019, and March 31, 2020, for stays between September 27, 2019, and July 31, 2020. Offer is valid for stays at participating properties within the Marriott International portfolio and is subject to availability. Offer may not be available in properties not fully participating in Marriott Bonvoy™.
The bonus Marriott BonVoy™ points will be applicable to bookings made via direct channels only (e.g. voice, property, brand.com). Offer does not apply to Bvlgari brand. Ritz Carlton Reserve properties would participate in the offer however without offering base and additional Marriott Bonvoy point-earning benefit.
This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotions or offers. For each completed eligible night’s stay, a folio credit of hotel-determined amount in local currency equivalent will be awarded. Hotels will use current foreign exchange rates for conversion of credit amount into local/selling currency. Folio credit will be applied to guest’s folio at time of checkout.
Folio credits are not transferable, not redeemable for cash, void after checkout and cannot be applied toward future stays. Offer is fully yieldable and available on all channels. Blackout dates, early departure fees, and deposit and cancellation restrictions may apply and vary by hotel. This offer may not be combined with other select promotions, offers and discounts.
Is this a good deal?
I’d say, yes it is! Even though the room rates are slightly higher under this package, you should be able to get more value compared to the standard rate after you factor in the 15%, the upgrade and the 5,000 bonus points (worth around $50).
