With restrictions on the verge of easing once for Australian domestic travel, Marriott International have launched a new campaign across their Australian, New Zealand and Pacific Island Hotels to encourage guests to ‘Upgrade their Summer’ with a local staycation.

Marriott International is encouraging travellers to holiday here this year, to rediscover and reconnect with their surroundings and loved ones, just in time for the warmer months ahead, with a summertime offer that should entice.

Properties across Marriott International’s family of brands including Sheraton, Westin, W Hotels, The Ritz-Carlton, Four Points, and more will offer 50% discount off premium room types, to encourage travellers to reunite, explore and book with confidence.

With restrictions across Australia on the verge of easing after a second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, this is our opportunity to give our customers a joyous reason to reunite with friends, loved ones and the beauty of Australia. We hope our campaign entices our customers to reset and start moving once again, and to help rebuild our communities and industries that have been so affected through this time.”

— says Sean Hunt, Area Vice President, Australia, New Zealand and Pacific, Marriott International.

Marriot’s Staycation Packages will offer across select hotels in Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Islands:

  • Upgrade Your Summer – 50% discount off upgrades to all premium rooms and suites
  • Breakfast included – Enjoy a delicious breakfast for 2 adults and children under 12 staying in the same room
  • Premium Room rates start from $124 before discount
  • Suite rates start from $189 before discount

Editors Note: at Flight Hacks, we’ve tested the campaign offer and noticed some pricing disparity between regular member pricing and “Upgrade your summer pricing”, after reaching out to Marriott, they have acknowledged the problem and are working on fixing the pricing issue.
