Operating one of the two daily flights from Dubai to Geneva, travellers can enjoy the new product on flight EK083 departing Dubai at 1450hrs, arriving in Geneva at 1855hrs. The return flight EK084 leaves Geneva at 2040hrs, arriving back at Dubai International Airport at 0605hrs the following day.

For travellers heading to or from Belgium, the new product will be available on flight EK183 which leaves Dubai at 0820hrs, arriving in Brussels at 1245hrs. The return flight EK184 leaves Brussels at 1435hrs, arriving at Emirates Terminal Three in Dubai at 0015hrs the following day.

The new first class suites are designed in collaboration with Mercedes-Benz and are the world’s first fully enclosed first-class cabins featuring floor to ceiling doors.

Emirates New First Class Suites Highlights

    • Floor to ceiling sliding doors for a completely private suite.
    • Byredo skincare collection Each suite is fitted with an inspiration kit which features a luxury Byredo skincare collection found only on Emirates.
    • Leather notebook and pen The inspiration kit also includes a notebook and pen to jot down stories, memories and ideas.
    • Binoculars, Steiner Safari Binoculars are available in the suite for customers who want to explore the sky outside their window. Bowers & Wilkins headphones
    • Virtual windows for the middle seats
    • 32″ inch Full HD TV with over 2,500 channels of entertainment.
  • A fully flat bed that features a “zero-gravity” position inspired by NASA technology.

Emirates’ new First Class cabin now features six private suites laid out in a 1-1-1 layout, compared to the eight private suites in a 1-2-1 layout on its existing 777 fleet. In addition to the entirely redesigned First Class product, Emirates’ new Boeing 777-300ERs will also boast refreshed features in the Business and Economy Class cabins.

It appears that the design team has now opted for window sections in the door which can be opened to provide service without having to open the doors of your suite fully each time the crew tops up your glass of Dom.

Emirates has pulled out all the stops just as we thought we’d seen it all with Singapore Airlines latest first class seats! The new first class suites are a masterpiece of design.

The new Emirates 777 First Class cabin interior uses a whole new colour palette of soft greys, cream and champagne, conveying a contemporary, open and airy feel, with quiet and timeless luxury.

The 1-1-1 layout is spacious (especially for a 777) with 40 square feet of personal space in each cabin. I for one can’t wait to see what they will do with the A380 first class seats!

Emirates has clearly spent a great deal of time making sure the design and cabin features are unrivalled by its competitors. The new 777 first class suites now feature individual temperature control settings so you can fully customise your private suite. To prevent any feeling of claustrophobia in the middle seat, Emirates has installed virtual windows, these virtual windows project the view from outside the aircraft using real time camera technology.

Mood lighting can be fully customised and controlled via touchscreen, build into the wall.

The design choices are more muted, and the whole look of the cabin has an Arabian desert safari vibe to it. A friend noted that there a plenty of design cues that resemble something from the old Oriental Express luxury train cabins.

The new first-class seat appears to be wider than it’s predecessor and now has a “zero gravity” mode for ultimate comfort while lounging.

Emirates is now partnering with Bowers & Wilkins to provide Active Noise Cancelling E1 headphones created exclusively for Emirates. These headphones were designed by award-winning audio brand Bowers & Wilkins to ensure the sound was optimised for the First Class cabin environment.

Each suite is fitted with an amenity kit which features a luxury Byredo skincare collection found only on Emirates, Hydra Active moisturising pyjamas, and Bulgari amenity kits.

The mini bar is also still present, and so is the second screen which now comes with a wireless TV remote. The writing kit is also still part of the first class seat, and Emirates also added a set of Steiner Safari binoculars to each seat which is just over-the-top but on the other side amazing. Who doesn’t like to like to check on the geological/geographical features of the landscape beneath?

The seats and the walls are padded with luxury leather, similar to what you would fine in a sports car. The Ghaf tree motif is blended into the wall, lighting and cabin doors and looks absolutely stunning.

The new business class is still a disappointing 2-3-2 layout which is not very common anymore. On the upside, the seats do look very nice featuring a diamond stitch pattern on the full leather cover, and at least the recline is fully flat in comparison to the sloping seats in the previous generation of 777 Emirates jets.

I think Emirates have done an outstanding job revamping their already fantastic first class seats. It’s unfortunate that they are blocked from redemptions at the moment but we can expect this to change as time goes on. All in all our Qantas Frequent Flyer points just got more valuable and I can’t wait to fly this product! You can check out the official Emirates press release here.
