Qantas Frequent Flyers can now explore even more of the world with China Airlines as the two airlines expand their partnership to over 75 destinations worldwide. The new agreement allows Qantas Frequent Flyer members to use their points to book Classic Flight Reward seats on all China Airlines flights, offering an extensive range of new destinations across Asia and Europe. This expansion builds on the existing agreement between the two airlines, which previously only allowed members to travel between Australia and Taipei using points.

Qantas Frequent Flyers can now redeem their points to travel from Sydney to Da Nang in Economy class for 37,800 points, Melbourne to Amsterdam in Business class for 159,000 points, or Sydney to Taipei in Business class for 75,000 points (plus taxes, fees, and carrier charges). Bookings for these flights will be available through the Contact Centre shortly.

China Airlines operates full-service Business, Premium Economy, and Economy cabins, with thousands of weekly flights across 23 countries. Qantas Loyalty CEO Olivia Wirth said the Qantas Frequent Flyer program is committed to providing its members with even more opportunities to use their points.

“Our network of more than 45 partner airlines means frequent flyers can use their Qantas Points to travel to more than 1,200 destinations around the world, and this expanded partnership means they have more options than ever,” said Ms Wirth.

“We receive great feedback from our members who have travelled to Taipei with China Airlines, and we know that having access to their full and expansive network will be welcome news.”

Qantas Frequent Flyers can take advantage of over 5 million reward seats that will be available for booking over the next year on Qantas, Jetstar, and its partner airlines. The expanded partnership between Qantas and China Airlines opens up a world of new opportunities for frequent flyers to explore.
