Qatar Airways has launched its Black Friday sales campaign for Australia today. Unlike the European campaign, there doesn’t appear to be a fixed discount percentage, but savings are promised for Privilege Club members who access the dedicated Black Friday page and ensure they are logged into their account (it’s free to join).
From our testing, there are some genuine deals to be had, but don’t expect to save 30% on your flights! A realistic expectation would be savings of around 6–10% on the total fare.
Business Class Deal: Sydney to Zurich
We tested a business class return flight from Sydney to Zurich. The standard fare was AU$8,369.14
but using the Black Friday sales page, we managed to secure it for AU$7,868.14. That’s a solid saving of $501, or approximately 6% off the total cost—not bad at all!
Economy Companion Fare: Perth to Copenhagen
Qatar Airways is also advertising companion fare deals, so we tested an economy ticket for two passengers traveling from Perth to Copenhagen.
The standard fare for two people came to AU$3,506.52. However, through the Qatar Airways Black Friday sales page, the fare dropped to AU$3,222.52. That’s a saving of $284, or approximately 8.1%.
How to Access These Deals
To take advantage of these offers, follow these steps:
- Visit the Qatar Airways Black Friday sales page: The discount code will be automatically applied.
- Log in to your Privilege Club account: Ensure you are logged in before searching for flights.
- Look for the discount indicator: Once the search results appear, check for a burgundy-coloured ribbon next to the price. You’ll also see a small prompt that says, “Promo code has been successfully applied.”
