If you think it’s too soon to be flying, think again! Qatar Airways has just launched a promotion where healthcare professionals can get up to 2 free economy tickets to anywhere in the Qatar Airways network.
Considering most of the world is still in lockdown (at least when it comes to international travel), the promotion seems to be poorly timed?
The offer is available for booking between 12 and 18 May 2020 for travel between May 26 and December 10, 2020.
Yes, you read that right, 2020 isn’t cancelled yet according to Qatar Airways.
Who’s Eligible?
According to the landing page, the promotion strictly available to medical frontline professionals only. Eligible healthcare professions are limited to: Doctor, Medical practitioner, Nurse, Paramedic, Lab Technician, Clinical Researcher, Pharmacist.
At check-in, you will be required to prove your occupation so there’s no chance you’ll get a freebie if you aren’t actually eligible.
The eligible person booking is entitled to bring along a companion.
What’s the catch?
While the tickets are technically free, taxes will need to be paid for your bookings. With that also comes a limit of 100,000 tickets on a first-come, first-served basis. The promotion also states that seats are limited and subject to availability. On the upside, though, tickets will be fully flexible with an unlimited number of changes allowed at no extra cost.
