Qatar Airways is renowned for offering one of the best Business Class products worldwide, with the industry-leading Qsuite and airport lounges, plus a superb soft product. But Qatar is upping the ante in Business, bringing the soft product even closer to what passengers might expect in First Class.

Until now, Qatar has only served caviar onboard its long-haul First Class flights. But from 15th August 2024, Qatar will introduce a caviar service to its Business Class menu.

Starting with 13 routes, caviar lovers can experience the luxurious service onboard Qatar Airways Business between Doha (DOH) and Boston (BOS), Dallas (DFW), Hong Kong (HKG), Houston (IAH), London (LHR), Los Angeles (LAX), Melbourne (MEL), New York (JFK), Paris (CDG), Sao Paulo (GRU), Singapore (SIN), Sydney (SYD), and Washington (IAD).

The caviar will be served with the traditional accompaniments, as well as balik-style salmon. This can be enjoyed as a standalone option or as part of the onboard meal courses.

Qatar’s SVP of Product Development and Design, Xia Cai, explained that the airline was committed to elevating industry standards across premium cabin travel.

“As the world’s only 11-time winner of the Skytrax ‘World’s Best Business Class’ award, Qatar Airways takes pride in providing the best premium business class travel experience.”

“The introduction of caviar service, commonly available only in First Class cabins, further elevates Qatar Airways’ award-winning business class experience,” adds Ms. Cai.

Qatar Caviar Service In Business Class

Summing Up: My Take

Qatar is truly leaps and bounds ahead of the competition when it comes to Business Class travel. While many airlines are talking about how fantastic their latest seat is, few are putting in the effort to offer a world-class soft product. But of course the smaller touches like pyjamas, onboard dining and even interaction with the crew make up an enormous part of the overall passenger experience.

It’s great to see Qatar bring caviar to Business Class, albeit on a limited number of routes. Presumably, Qatar sees their initial thirteen caviar service routes as premium-heavy.
