Check In & Lobby
As soon as you enter Tribe Hotel, it’s as if you’ve just entered a fashion designer’s lounge room. Lots of different textures and colours pop out and mood lighting is right on point.
Check in was fast and friendly and before we knew it we were waiting for the elevator to to take us up to our room on the top floor. It was 5pm and the downstairs lounge and bar was already buzzing with guests ready to enjoy their weekend.
Tribe Rooms
Tribe founder, Mark Peters is a pioneer in modular construction, and his work can be seen in the Tribe hotel design. The hotel shape seems to be modeled after shipping containers stacked on top of each other. Modern, minimalist and functional are probably the best words to describe the rooms. Although it’s a small space, everything you need is there including a free minibar, uber comfy bathrobes and shower products by Kevin Murphy. The whole space is cleverly thought out and nothing was left to chance, starting with the bed which has luggage storage compartments underneath to stash your bags. Full length windows offer a fantastic view over the city or King’s Park depending on which side of the hotel you’re staying.
The bed, linen and pillows were all very comfortable and I had an excellent nights sleep.
Each room comes with a free mini bar and Nespresso coffee machine. If you run out of water, no problem, just stock up downstairs. There’s no room service but these nice little extras are included with your stay.
Bathroom & Shower
The bathrooms are tiny but functional with full size rain shower and Kevin Murphy hair and body care products.
