New and existing customers in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia who switch their gas and electricity to the AGL Velocity offer before 30th June 2024 can earn up to 35,000 Velocity Points over 12 months. In Western Australia, new and existing residential customers who switch to the AGL Velocity offer for gas can earn up to 12,500 Velocity Points over 12 months.
35,000 Velocity Points is enough to book return Virgin Australia business class flights on a short route like Melbourne to Sydney, Adelaide or Hobart. If you’d prefer to travel in economy, it’s enough for five one-way flights on those same short routes under 600 flying miles.

Score Velocity Points On Energy With AGL
You can now earn Velocity Points on selected AGL gas and electricity plans, in areas that AGL services. The amount of bonus Velocity Points you earn depends on the plan you sign up for;
- 10,000 bonus Velocity Points – gas only
- 20,000 bonus Velocity Points – electricity only
- 30,000 bonus Velocity Points – gas and electricity
Those bonus points will be credited within 45 days of your energy supply commencing. You’ll also receive an anniversary bonus for every 12 months you remain connected to an eligible plan;
- 2,500 Velocity Points – gas only
- 2,500 Velocity Points – electricity only
- 5,000 Velocity Points – gas and electricity
Already an AGL customer? Existing AGL customers could get up to 6,000 Velocity Points when switching to the AGL Velocity offer. That’s 3,000 Points for electricity and 3,000 Points for gas.
This offer is available until 30th June 2024 on the AGL Value Saver and AGL Savers plans. You’ll need to be a residential customer located in NSW, QLD, SA or VIC (electricity and/or gas) and WA (gas only), in areas where AGL services.
