Velocity Frequent Flyer 15% - 30% Transfer Bonus
Velocity Frequent Flyer offers 15% transfer bonus, boosting points value for Aussie travellers and rewards.
Right now and until the end of the month (November 30th) you can get a 15% bonus when you send your rewards points to Velocity Frequent Flyer.
While 15% is too low to tempt me, maybe you’re easily swayed by their tag line which reads:
“Better get that leave form ready. And your selfie stick.”
If that doesn’t make you transfer your points ASAP, I don’t know what will.

My Card Earns Velocity Points…
Will you get the 15% bonus on a card that already earns directly into the Velocity Frequent flyer program? No.
This promotion is only for those who collect flexible reward points (the best kind) such as American Express Membership Rewards, ANZ Rewards, Westpac Altitude, Flybuys etc.
You will also get the 15% bonus when you opt to transfer points from the following hotel reward programs; however, I would advice against doing so. The value is generally pretty poor, and you will be better off redeeming hotels point for stays.
Bonus For Transferring From KrisFlyer
While it’s nice to see they’ve added KrisFlyer as a bonus partner, I’m not entirely sure why anyone would want to convert their valuable KrisFlyer points to Velocity. However, the option is there.
Will we see a bigger bonus?
History usually repeats itself, and if previous bonuses have been any indication, the chances are that the bonus will be increased towards the end of the month. Unless you have a redemption in mind and don’t want to miss out on the seats, I would hold and see if anything better gets offered since 15% is pretty low.
Should you transfer?
The short answer is NO. But on the flip side, if most of your redemptions are with Velocity Frequent Flyer or you have a specific redemption in mind, this is a nice little discount to get you that reward sooner. For those with a nice chunk of Flybuys points, this could also be a great time to push your points across to Velocity since 15% is better than nothing.
