Velocity Partner Redemptions Are Back From Next Week
Velocity Partner redemptions return next week—unlock more ways to use your points for travel rewards! At the start of the pandemic, I speculated that Velocity Frequent Flyer would suspend redemptions and, most importantly, transfer from Velocity to Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer. At the time, I wrote a post about “why you might want to transfer your Velocity points”, which turned out to be an accurate prediction.
Virgin Australia went into administration, and Velocity suspended the rapid outflow of points by removing transfers and partner redemptions.
Luckily, Virgin Australia and Velocity Frequent Flyer are well and truly back on track, and with international travel starting from next week, rumours began flowing!
Partner redemptions will be back from November 2 (technically November 1 at 11:59 PM) except for Singapore Airlines and Hainan Airlines.
At this stage, transfers to and from Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer will remain suspended. The same will be the case of Singapore Airlines redemption bookings made with Velocity Frequent Flyer Points.
Which Partners Will Be Bookable?
At this stage, the following partners will be available to book using your Velocity Points:
- Virgin Atlantic
- Delta Air Lines
- Air Canada
- Etihad Airways
- Hawaiian Airlines
- South African Airways
November Bonus Transfer Promo
On top of the partner redemption news, Velocity will also run a bonus transfer promotion from November 1 until November 30. The bonus will range from 15-20% depending on the transfer partner, with some partners such as ANZ going as high as 30% on points transferred.
