Flybuys To Velocity Transfer Bonus - April 2026
Velocity Frequent Flyer and Flybuys are currently offering a small bonus when converting Flybuys points to Velocity Points.
This promotion runs from 1 April to 30 April 2026, and offers up to 1,000 bonus points split across Flybuys and Velocity. The bonus is tiered based on the transfer method, as follows:
- Manual Transfer: 250 bonus Flybuys Points + 250 bonus Velocity Points
- Auto Transfer: 500 bonus Flybuys Points + 500 bonus Velocity Points
To receive the higher bonus, you can’t have used Auto Transfer before. However, the smaller Manual Transfer bonus is open to all members, regardless of whether you’ve manually transferred points before.
Only one bonus is available per member, and it will be based on the first eligible transfer you complete during the promotion.
Flybuys Manual Transfer Bonus (250 + 250 Points)
If you choose to transfer points manually, you’ll receive 250 bonus Flybuys Points and 250 bonus Velocity Points on your first eligible transfer during the promotion period. This option is available even if you’ve transferred points before.
How to get the manual transfer bonus:
- Log in to your Flybuys account and ensure your Velocity account is linked.
- Select a manual transfer of at least 1,000 Flybuys Points.
- Complete the transfer between 1 April and 30 April 2026.
- Bonus points should be credited after the promotion ends.
Flybuys Auto Transfer Bonus (500 + 500 Points)
If you set up Auto Transfer for the first time, you’ll receive 500 bonus Flybuys Points and 500 bonus Velocity Points. This offer is only available if you have never completed an Auto Transfer before, and you must remain opted in until the end of the promotion.
How to get the auto transfer bonus:
- Log in to your Flybuys account.
- Locate Velocity on the ‘Partners’ screen and turn on Auto Transfer.
- Ensure at least 1,000 Flybuys Points are transferred automatically between 1 April and 30 April 2026.
- Keep Auto Transfer active until at least 30 April 2026.
- Bonus points should be credited after the promotion ends.
10,000 Bonus Velocity Points On Bank Transfers - Feb to May 2026
Between 1 February 2026 and 31 May 2026, you can earn up to 10,000 bonus Velocity Points when transferring bank rewards points to Velocity.
After activating the offer, members can receive 2,500 bonus Velocity Points per month for every 1,000 Velocity Points earned/transferred each month in February, March, April and May 2026. Eligible banking partners are American Express, Virgin Money, and Westpac.
Members can qualify either by earning directly on a Velocity-Points earning credit card or by transferring points from a banking rewards program into Velocity. The bonus is awarded monthly, and you can earn up to 10,000 bonus Velocity Points in total during the promotion period.
Note that this offer is targeted, meaning not every Velocity member will be eligible. That said, it appears the net has been cast pretty wide. Be sure to check your email inbox for a promotional email from Velocity Frequent Flyer inviting you to register. Should I Transfer My Points To Velocity?
We love Velocity's regular transfer bonus promotions. These offers are a great way to maximise the value of your flexible reward points, especially if you have a specific flight redemption in mind.
We do still advise against transferring points to Velocity just because there is a bonus running, as this will wipe the flexibility of holding bank reward points. As soon as you make that transfer, you’re restricted to Velocity, as opposed to having the option to send bank rewards elsewhere when a Business Class Reward Seat pops up with another frequent flyer scheme.
That said, if the bonus is tempting enough, a speculative transfer could prove worthwhile.
When A Transfer Makes Sense
1. You’re ready to book a Velocity reward flight
This is the ideal scenario. If you’ve already found reward seat availability and just need more Velocity Points, transferring with a bonus effectively reduces the cost of your booking.
2. The transfer bonus is strong and you’ll redeem soon
If the Velocity transfer bonus is generous, it could justify moving points even without a booking lined up. It’s still a good idea to have a plan, whether that’s a specific route, airline partner, or reward flight you’re aiming to book in the near future.
3. You’re transferring from programs that only convert to Velocity
For programs like Flybuys, your transfer options are already limited. In this case, transferring to Velocity during a bonus is a straightforward way to extract more value from points you were likely to move anyway.
When To Avoid Transfers
1. You don’t have a clear redemption plan
Transferring points to Velocity without a specific use in mind is one of the most common mistakes. If you haven’t researched routes, airline partners, or reward seat availability, you might be taking on unnecessary risk.
2. You’re transferring just to get the bonus
A Velocity transfer bonus can look appealing, but it shouldn’t be the only reason you move your points, especially when these offers appear regularly.
3. You want to keep flexibility across frequent flyer programs
Flexible bank reward points can be transferred to multiple airline programs. Once you transfer points to Velocity, that flexibility is gone. and you may miss out on better-value redemptions with other airlines.
4. You’re unlikely to use your Velocity Points soon
If you don’t plan to book a reward flight in the near future, transferring now exposes you to devaluations and missed opportunities. While bank programs can also devalue, they typically provide some notice, and keeping points with the bank gives you the flexibility to transfer your points to whichever program offers the best value at the time.

Between 12.00am AEDT on Wed 1 Apr 2026 and 11.59 pm AEST on Thu 30 Apr 2026 (Promotion Period), Flybuys and Velocity Frequent Flyer Members who link, or have previously linked, their Velocity Frequent Flyer membership to their Flybuys account are eligible to receive one of the two offers below, which will be credited on the first eligible transfer the member successfully completes during the Promotion Period:
- Members will receive bonus 250 bonus Flybuys points and 250 bonus Velocity Points if they choose to complete a Manual Transfer of a minimum 1,000 Flybuys points to 500 Velocity Points as their first Velocity transfer within the Promotion Period (this does not need to be their first ever Velocity Manual Transfer). If a member completes a Manual Transfer first during the Promotion Period, they will not be eligible to receive the Auto Transfer bonus points offer. Members who have previously completed a Manual Transfer from their Flybuys to Velocity Account prior to the Promotion Period are still eligible for the Manual Transfer offer; or
- Members will receive 500 bonus Flybuys points and bonus 500 Velocity Points if they turn on Auto Transfer and complete their first ever Auto Transfer of a minimum 1,000 Flybuys points to 500 Velocity Points during the Promotion Period. Members must remain opted into Auto Transfer until the end of the Promotion Period to be eligible for this offer. Members who have opted into the Auto Transfer functionality prior to the Promotion Period but have never completed an Auto Transfer are eligible for this Auto Transfer offer. This offer is not available to members who have previously completed an Auto Transfer prior to the Promotion Period. If a member completes an eligible Auto Transfer first during the Promotion Period, they will not be eligible to receive the Manual Transfer bonus points offer.
Members are only eligible to receive one bonus points offer during the Promotion Period which will be the first eligible transfer that the member completes during the Promotion Period.
Your Flybuys account and Velocity account must remain linked until the end of the Promotion Period to be eligible to receive this offer. This bonus points offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
The Terms and Conditions governing the transfer of Flybuys points to Velocity points is outlined below. Velocity Frequent Flyer Points will be credited to the linked Velocity account, and Flybuys points will be credited to the linked Flybuys account by Thu 28 May 2026.
Once Flybuys points have been redeemed for Velocity Points, they cannot be returned to your Flybuys account, and they will be governed by the Velocity membership terms and conditions. Eligible Velocity members (“Members”) can earn 2,500 bonus Velocity Points per calendar month during the promotional period, which runs from 12.01AM AEST 1 February 2026 to 11.59PM AEST 31 May 2026 (Offer Period). To be eligible for the bonus Velocity Points offer (“the Offer”), Members must:
- Have directly received this Offer via email from Velocity Frequent Flyer;
- Activate this Offer by clicking the activation link within the Offer email or their Velocity member account within this Offer Period and;

The 1,000 Velocity Points can be earned via spend on a Member’s Eligible Partner credit card or by transferring eligible points from Eligible Partners to Velocity into Velocity Points. Velocity Points earned through an acquisition bonus Points offer or any other bonus Points offer from an Eligible Partner are not eligible for the bonus Velocity Points.
Eligible Velocity Points earn will be counted by month and are based on calendar months from 1 February 2026 to 31 May 2026.
Once activated, Members are eligible to earn 2,500 bonus Points for the month they activated the offer and for any subsequent months within the Offer Period, provided all other Offer conditions are met. The 1,000 Velocity Points do not need to be earned in consecutive months to qualify for the monthly bonus in the following months of the Offer Period. Members will not earn bonus points for any months prior to Offer activation, for example, if the Member met the minimum earn requirement for February 2026 and did not activate the Offer until March 2026, they will not earn 2,500 bonus points for February.
Bonus Points will be awarded in addition to any standard Points earned. If the earning activity also qualifies for other partner bonus Points promotions, those bonus Points will be awarded as applicable.
Please allow up to 4 weeks after each calendar month of the Offer Period, to be awarded the bonus Points to your Velocity account.
This Offer is not transferable, only the member directly contacted by Velocity Frequent Flyer with this Offer is eligible to receive bonus Points. To earn Velocity Points and participate in this Offer, you must be a Velocity member. Velocity membership and Points earn is subject to the Velocity Membership Terms and Conditions.
