Dust off your passport because as of today Velocity Frequent Flyers can once again redeem points for flights with Singapore Airlines. The catch is that only Economy Reward Seats on Singapore Airlines will return for now, with premium cabin redemptions to resume shortly.

While economy redemptions have never offered value as significant as a seat at the pointy end, the return of Virgin Australia’s partnership with Singapore Airlines is only good news. The airline partnership opens a world of new travel opportunities for Velocity members who can use their points to book selected flights on Singapore Airlines to over 30 countries.

The ability to transfer points between Velocity & KrisFlyer is also expected to return within the next few months.

Velocity CEO Nick Rohrlach said he knows how much frequent flyers value the incredible service and expansive network that Singapore Airlines offers.

“Initially members will be able to use their Points to book Economy seats with Singapore Airlines and we anticipate expanding Reward Seat availability into their premium cabins soon. We also know how much Velocity and KrisFlyer members value the ability to transfer points between the programs and we are working to restore this feature within the next few months.” said Mr Rohrlach.

Redemptions for flights with Delta Air Lines will end by April 2022, following the announcement that Virgin Australia and Velocity Frequent Flyer will partner with United Airlines from April 2022.
