A New Westin Luxury Hotel Is Coming To Margaret River
Westin brings luxury to Margaret River with breathtaking ocean views, dining options, and world-class relaxation.Who doesn’t love Margaret River? A stunning region here in WA full of outstanding wineries, beautiful caves, restaurants and pristine beaches. The one thing that has always been lacking in the area is the hotel scene.
This all changed yesterday when Marriott Hotels & Resorts announced a brand new project featuring its Westin brand set for completion mid-2023.
The people in charge of designing the hotel are Perth based architects Christou. You might recognise their work from the City Beach Surf Club, the Scarborough Pools and the Rottnest Resort and Hotel, which is due to open later this year.
The new hotel will be located on the southern headland of Gnarabup Beach; the resort will be renowned for its uninterrupted views over the Indian Ocean and one of Western Australia’s most dramatic coastlines featuring numerous world-class surf breaks. With direct access to the famous Cape to Cape walking trail, nearby national forests and ancient caves, there is no shortage of nature experiences.
When Westin Margaret River opens its doors in 2023, it is expected to feature 120 guest rooms, including 45 spacious suites, featuring sweeping views.
The new resort will feature three on-site dining venues which will provide a variety of culinary options, including an all-day dining restaurant, a lobby lounge and a pool bar.
“Expanding the Westin brand into the Margaret River region is important strategically, as the city is enjoying great growth and is not showing any signs of slowing down. Visitor numbers are at a record high and are on track to increase by 5.1 per cent in the next ten years1, as people seek out the beautiful beaches, world-renowned wineries and beautiful scenery that the South West Region is famed for,” said Sean Hunt, Area Vice President, Marriott International, Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific.
“When opened, The Westin Margaret River Resort & Spa is set to complement the currently operating Westin Perth located in the Perth CBD as the ideal Perth City-Margaret River itinerary bookend for travellers.”
