Accor Plus Guide

ALL Accor+ Explorer is the paid extension of Accor’s hotel loyalty program, Accor Live Limitless. It offers extra discounts and elite perks across Australia and the Asia Pacific region, for an annual fee of $349.

Previously known as Accor Plus, the membership is one of Australia’s most established paid hotel loyalty programs. Members receive two Stay Plus free nights each year, up to 30% off dining, 15% off drinks, instant ALL Gold status, and more.

With hundreds of Accor hotels around Australia, and a strong footprint in the Asia Pacific region, it can be relatively easy to unlock serious value from Accor+ Explorer. Unlike traditional hotel loyalty schemes, where meaningful benefits often require at least 30 nights per year, ALL Accor+ delivers elite status and discounts from day one.

In this guide, we explain the benefits of ALL Accor+ Explorer to help you understand your membership or decide if it’s worth joining.

ALL Accor+ Explorer Overview

Accor+ Explorer is a paid hotel membership connected to your free Accor Live Limitless loyalty account. For $349 a year, members unlock a range of perks that can quickly offset the fee, including up to two complimentary hotel nights per year.

How Much Does ALL Accor+ Explorer Cost?

ALL Accor+ Explorer retails for AU$349 per year in Australia. The membership runs for 12 months from the date you join and includes two Stay Plus free nights, instant ALL Gold status and ongoing hotel and dining discounts.

While that may sound steep for a paid hotel membership, the value equation is straightforward. If you redeem at least one Stay Plus free night at a premium Accor property, you can easily recover the annual fee. Add the second free night and other perks, and the numbers can easily stack up in your favour.

Free Accor+ Explorer With American Express

In Australia, select American Express cardholders receive a complimentary Accor+ Explorer membership as a card benefit. Eligible cards are the American Express Platinum and Platinum Business, representing a saving of AU$349 per year.

If you’re considering joining, it’s worth checking whether your credit card already includes the membership before paying the annual fee.

Where Can I Use Accor+ Explorer?

If you regularly stay at Accor hotels in the Asia-Pacific region, an Accor+ Explorer subscription could both save you money and make your stays more enjoyable. Membership benefits are valid at over 1,300 hotels and 1,600 restaurants across 22 countries within the Asia Pacific region.

That includes the vast majority of Accor hotels in the following countries: Australia, Cambodia, China, Fiji, French Polynesia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Note that there are stay and dining exclusions at certain hotels, restaurants and dates. For all the fun fine print visit this page.

Stay Plus Free Nights Explained

Accor+ Explorer members receive two Stay Plus free hotel nights each year, giving you a complimentary night at most Accor hotels across Australia and the Asia Pacific. While some properties are excluded, the majority participate, including high‑end five‑star names like Sofitel, Fairmont, and Swissôtel.

Each Stay Plus credit can be redeemed on a buy‑one‑get‑one‑free basis over a minimum two‑night stay, with the most expensive night free. Blackout dates can apply during peak periods, but availability is generally good if you book in advance. Stay Plus nights cover standard rooms, though you can pay the difference to enjoy a more premium room or suite.

The value of this benefit alone can often justify the $349 Accor+ Explorer annual fee, especially when redeemed at premium hotels. For example, I just used a Stay Plus credit at the Mondrian Singapore Duxton, which often costs $250-$450 per night. My free night saved me $368, already more than the membership fee, and I still have another Stay Plus remaining!

How To Book A Stay Plus Night

  1. Head to the Accor website
  2. Enter your destination and dates
  3. Under the search bar, toggle on ‘Use Stay Plus at participating hotels’
  4. Click search and look for a hotel with Stay Plus availability
  5. Book your room as normal

Instant Accor Gold Status

When joining Accor+ Explorer, your hotel status will automatically be upgraded to Accor Gold! Accor Gold status is recognised at Accor hotels worldwide, and includes:

  • Early check-in or late checkout (where available)
  • Room upgrade (where available)
  • Priority check-in
  • Welcome amenity
  • Free welcome drinks
  • Guaranteed room availability three days in advance

This perk is issued as a bonus of 30 Status Nights for each year of your membership, the exact number required for Accor Gold status. It also means you’re automatically halfway to Accor Platinum, which requires a further 30 nights for a total of 60 Status Nights per year.

Note that a maximum of 30 bonus Status Nights is applied per account per year, regardless of the number of memberships held. This rule applies to other programs like Accor Plus China, meaning you can’t stack the Status Nights with Accor+ Explorer for a double-dip. Once 30 bonus Status Nights are credited to your account from a membership, that’s it for the year.

Accor+ Dining Discounts

It’s always fun to eat out and explore new restaurants around the world, but sometimes all you want is the convenience of a hotel restaurant. Plus, as you may know, Accor hotels have some pretty incredible dining gems. This is where the Accor+ Explorer dining benefit can really save you a lot of money with some sweet dining discounts!

When dining at a participating Accor hotel restaurant throughout the Asia Pacific region, you will receive a 30% discount on food and 15% off drinks. This discount applies to up to ten guests. All you need to do is show your physical or digital Accor+ Explorer membership card when asking for the bill.

Best of all, you don’t actually need to be staying at a hotel to use your Accor+ Explorer discount benefit, just show your card when it comes time to pay.

15% Off Accor Hotel Stays Worldwide

If you can’t find a suitable Red Hot Rooms deal, Accor+ Explorer members receive 15% off the Best Available Rate at over 4,500 hotels worldwide. So wherever you stay, as an Accor+ Explorer member, you’ll get a discount.

Summing Up: Is Accor+ Explorer Worth It?

If you redeem even one Stay Plus free night at luxury Accor hotel, you can recover most or all of the $349 annual fee. Add in the second free night, dining discounts, and Accor Gold status, and frequent travellers across Australia and Asia Pacific will likely come out well ahead.

Accor+ Explorer is particularly worthwhile if you:

  • Stay at Accor hotels throughout the Asia Pacific region
  • Are planning a two-night stay at a premium Accor hotel
  • Regularly dine at Accor restaurants
  • Want Gold status without staying 30 nights

However, Accor+ Explorer might not be right if you:

  • Rarely stay at Accor properties
  • Prefer Airbnb or independent hotels
  • Won’t use the Stay Plus free nights

So, if you can spend the two Stay Plus nights, ALL Accor+ Explorer is often worth it. If not, the annual fee may outweigh the value.
