Air France Unveils New La Première First Class Suites
Air France has just showcased a significant upgrade to its first class offering with the new 2025 La Première seats.
Air France has unveiled its new La Première first-class suites, marking a significant enhancement to the product which we reviewed in 2023.

Building upon its reputation for French elegance and exceptional service, the airline has introduced suites that promise unparalleled comfort and privacy for discerning travellers.

La Première Suite Features
Each La Première suite offers nearly 3.5 square metres of personal space, a 25% increase over the previous design. A standout feature is the inclusion of five windows in the side suites, an exclusive offering by Air France, ensuring an abundance of natural light and expansive views.

The suite's design incorporates both a seat and a chaise lounge, which seamlessly transforms into a fully flat bed measuring two metres in length and 75 centimetres in width, ensuring restful sleep during the journey.

Privacy is paramount, with each suite enclosed by floor-to-ceiling curtains, creating a serene and secluded environment, while most people would probably prefer sliding doors, the curtains are somewhat unique to La Première and so it's only fitting they stayed. Overall, this more of an evolution of the product rather than a reinvention.

For those travelling together, adjacent suites in the centre cabin feature full-height, electric sliding partitions that can be adjusted at the touch of a button, allowing for shared or individual spaces as desired. A true double bed like we find onboard Singapore Airlines Suites is unfortunately absent and a missed opportunity.
New La Première Design and Amenities
Crafted in collaboration with STELIA Aerospace, the Design Investment studio, and the SGK Brandimage agency, the suites showcase a harmonious colour palette dominated by shades of grey, complemented by leather-trimmed finishes and exclusive fabrics. Touches of red, reminiscent of haute couture, add character and distinction, while champagne-coloured metallic accents enhance every detail.

To maximise space, overhead compartments have been replaced with floor-level storage solutions. A large sliding drawer accommodates up to two carry-on suitcases (the ultimate test to see if your luggage is oversize!), and an additional drawer under the chaise lounger provides space for footwear.

Each suite also features a personal compartment with a backlit mirror for personal belongings and an individual wardrobe.

Technological enhancements include two 32-inch 4K screens per passenger, offering over 1,500 hours of entertainment accessible from any position within the suite.

Noise-cancelling headphones are provided, and passengers can connect their personal headphones via Bluetooth. The suite is equipped with 110V/220V electrical outlets, USB-A and USB-C ports, wireless charging stations, and dedicated holders for smartphones or tablets. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the journey, with plans to introduce ultra-high-speed connectivity across the fleet, aiming to provide an at-home experience in the sky.
Route Deployment
The new La Première suites will be gradually introduced on select Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. The inaugural flight is scheduled for spring 2025, with the first aircraft, named Épernay, set to service the New York-JFK route. Subsequent destinations will include Los Angeles, Singapore, and Tokyo-Haneda during the summer 2025 season.
