American Express To Open Centurion Lounge At Amsterdam Schiphol
Amex will open its Dutch inspired Centurion Lounge at Amsterdam Schiphol in 2026.
American Express will bring its signature "The Centurion Lounge" experience to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport in 2026, marking its first proprietary lounge in the Netherlands and the latest addition to its expanding global network. The lounge will be located airside between Concourses E and F and span nearly 560sqm.
For Australian Amex Platinum, Business Platinum and Centurion card-members, this is a nice addition, given Amsterdam is a popular departure points for intra Europe flights.
What to expect
The Amsterdam Centurion Lounge promises a distinctly Dutch atmosphere, with interiors inspired by the city’s iconic canal houses and a calming palette of blues, greens and natural tones. Floor-to-ceiling windows will let in plenty of natural light, while a dedicated coffee bar will nod to local café culture and the Dutch idea of gezellig—a word that roughly translates to cosy, warm and inviting.
Food and drink menus will be locally inspired and complemented by the usual suite of Centurion Lounge features: a full-service bar, dining areas, relaxation zones, workstations, fast Wi-Fi and ample charging outlets, and no doubt a seperate zone for those Centurion Card Members amongst you.
At this stage, we've only got 1 image render to go by, which does look good!

Amsterdam Centurion Lounge Location
The new Centurion Lounge will be accessible to travellers on Schengen flights, which means Aussies transiting to places around Europe will be able to drop in by showing their eligible Amex Card. The newly constructed Centurion lounge is expected to open between Concourse E and F in 2026.
Lounge access for Amex cardholders
Australian card members with the Amex Platinum, Business Platinum/Corporate or Centurion Card can access the lounge with a same-day boarding pass. Platinum cardholders can bring two guests at no charge.
If you hold supplementary Platinum cards for family members, they also receive their own lounge privileges, making this a handy benefit for those travelling as a group.
Amex lounges keep expanding
The Amsterdam location joins an already strong lineup of Centurion Lounges, with recent openings in Stockholm Arlanda and Singapore. Upcoming additions include Tokyo Haneda, Salt Lake City and Newark, all scheduled to open later this year. Across the Global Lounge Collection, eligible cardholders also receive access to over 1,550 partner lounges worldwide, including Priority Pass (upon registration), Plaza Premium and select Delta and Lufthansa lounges.
