American Express has just kicked off August with “Member Month”. This event is aimed at current members. During Member Month, American Express Card Members will have the opportunity to access a variety of exclusive events and benefits. These include special offers and discounts across retail, travel, dining, and entertainment categories.
Card Members can enjoy tantalising discounts at restaurants like Otto, Catalina, and The Morrison. Incredible travel deals are available from American Express Travel Online and its travel partners, plus retail offers from MyAmexShop, Net-a-Porter, Mr Porter, AirBnB, Amazon, Country Road, and more.
Retail Offers
At this stage, only a few offers seem to be added, but we anticipate this selection to expand in the coming days. As always, it’s a wise idea to frequently check your Amex Offers tab within your account. The most enticing deals often require registration and are limited in availability.
Travel Offers
Amex Travel:
Amex is promising valued fares across a range of airline partners via Amex Travel. To receive discounts as a member, your journey must commence and conclude at the same port of selected locations, as designated by the participating airline. The journey must be completed within the period during which your selected carrier participates in the programme. All bookings are valid from 1 – 31 August 2023, and the Card Member has 12 months to complete the travel from the starting travel date.
When you find a deal, these will be labelled as “Member Month Offer”. This tag indicates that the ticket has received a discount.
Marriott Bonvoy 50% Bonus Points:
With hotel prices remaining at an all-time high, an offer of 50% bonus Bonvoy Points will certainly be of value to some members! Additionally, Bonvoy points can be converted to airline miles, providing a favourable opportunity for those looking to transfer points.
Hilton Honors 30% Bonus Points
Throughout the month of August, Amex Card Members who earn Membership Rewards can now also accrue a 30% bonus on transfers to the Hilton Honors loyalty programme.
Fine Hotels & Resorts
This is reserved for Platinum and Centurion Card Members. From what we can gather, there are some fantastic deals on luxury hotels! Bonuses range from 3rd night free, 4th night free, 5th night free to increased property credits of up to US$200. There are also a few deals on The Hotel Collection which are accessible to lower tier cards, such as Amex Explorer.
Dining
At this stage, we know that Card Members can avail of delightful discounts at restaurants like Otto, Catalina, and The Morrison. The Member Month page hasn’t listed any specific details yet, but we anticipate this list to grow in the coming days.
