Amex Platinum Member? Do This Before The End Of 2024
Maximise Amex Platinum perks: dining, and Amazon Prime benefits – act before they reset!
If you’re an American Express Platinum or Business Platinum card holder, you have a few card benefits that reset annually; that date, of course is coming close as the end of the year is very much in sight.
It’s easy to forget about these benefits, so in this quick post, I wanted to remind you to either use them or lose them!
1) American Express Platinum Dining Credit
A benefit introduced a few years ago gives American Express Platinum Cardmembers a $400 dining credit each year. If you haven’t done so already, you need to register this benefit (one time) via your Amex Offers page in the account. Once done, you will get a $200 dining credit at selected Australian restaurants and $200 at several international dining destinations.

The benefit automatically resets on January 1, 2025, so if you have unused dining credit, now’s a good time to use it!
If you’ve only recently signed up for an American Express Platinum card, you will technically get $800 worth of dining credit in your first membership year, so don’t forget to register and use the benefit in the next few weeks.
2) American Express Business Platinum Dell Credit
American Express Business Platinum Cardmembers get $125 worth of Dell credit twice every year they hold theAmex Platinum Business Card. This benefit resets every 6 months; the next reset date will be December 31, 2024.
You will need to save the benefit to your Card via the offers page and spend online or over the phone to get the $125 credit back to your account.
The redemption periods are between July 1 2024 – December 31 2024; January 1 2025 – June 30 2025, and between July 1 2025 – December 31 2025. Limited to a maximum of two credits at a total of $250 each year, per Card.
3) Amazon Prime
American Express Platinum Cardholders enjoy a credit of up to $84 for Amazon Prime per calendar year. This either offsets your monthly or annual Prime subscription. So, if you haven't redeemed it yet, now's the perfect time as your credit will reset at the start of 2025!
