How To Earn Qantas Status Credits Without Flying

Qantas Frequent Flyer has unveiled one of its most generous promotions yet, giving members the chance to earn up to 110 bonus Status Credits over the next three months. The limited-time promotion allows Qantas members to earn Status Credits without boarding a single flight, making it arguably the easiest way to unlock and retain elite status.

Bonus Status Credits can be unlocked for earning Qantas Points with various partners across everyday categories like credit cards, insurance, utilities, travel, shopping and entertainment.

The bonus Status Credits will help members fast-track their annual status earning or retention, and will count towards Lifetime Status. However, these bonus Status Credits won’t be counted towards any Loyalty Bonus or Tier Accelerator status match challenge.

Qantas Loyalty CEO Andrew Glance explained that this promotion is the first time members have been able to earn Status Credits on the ground at this scale.

“While flying will always be at the core of the program, this offer is about expanding the ways we recognise our members both in the air and on the ground…Members are already earning two-thirds of their Qantas Points on the ground, and we expect this will be particularly appealing to our frequent buyers.”

Here’s how the offer works.

Qantas Earn Status Credits On The Ground - October 2025

To participate, you will need to first register for the offer here by 31 October 2025. Bonus Status Credits will be awarded based on the number and type of categories you earn in, with members able to collect bonus Status Credits once per category.

There are eight categories to complete, allowing you to earn up to 110 Status Credits in total. Each category will be marked as completed once you earn 1,000 Qantas Points in that category. You can earn until 31 December 2025, as long as the points are credited to your Qantas account by 31 March 2026.

You will earn 20 bonus Status Credits in the following categories:

  • Cards & Banking: Qantas earning credit cards, Qantas Home Loans and Qantas Pay.
  • Utilities & Services: Red Energy and Solargain.
