This deal is only on for two weeks, so you have until June 24th to snap one up via this page. Choose an amount from $250 up to $65,000, and Etihad will add 50% to the value of your voucher for free. So, if you buy a voucher worth $1,000, you’ll have $1,500 to spend on your next trip. Simple.
How Long Is The Voucher Valid For?
Your credit is valid for two years and can be used to pay for trips with Etihad Airways from August 1st 2020.
Risk VS Reward
Etihad has been struggling for a while now so although the value proposition is pretty damn tempting, this also is a bid for the airline to raise money. Right now, we have no idea when international travel will open up again for Australians, and we also have no idea how Etihad’s finances are looking.
That said, I don’t think Etihad will be allowed to fail. A lot of pride and money is involved so for me personally, I might take my risk and buy a “modest amount”.
If you have immediate travel plans, this is a no-brainer. Especially considering Etihad is ramping up flight schedules again.

Unfortunately, you can’t actually buy the voucher online. You have to visit this page and call one of their offices around the world to purchase a voucher.
Can The Voucher Be Used For Others?
Yes, the voucher can be used to book flights for other people, but it does get added to your travel bank so the booking will be managed by the person who purchased the voucher.
What About The Fine Print?
The terms and conditions are pretty clear. There doesn’t seem to be any “sneaky” terms that could limit the value proposition so, to me, this seems like a genuine offer.
