Singapore Airlines opens new First Class SilverKris Lounge at Changi T2
Singapore Airlines opens First Class SilverKris Lounge at Changi T2, adding space, smarter zones, showers, and signature bar.
Singapore Airlines has opened its all-new First Class SilverKris Lounge in Terminal 2, with doors officially opening to guests from 5 pm on Friday 7 November 2025. The 1,050-square-metre space is 11% larger than before and seats about 130 guests. Access is available to SIA Suites and First Class customers, Solitaire PPS Club members, and First Class customers flying on Star Alliance airlines.

Where it is and what’s new?
Located on level 3 near Departure Gate E, the lounge now occupies a previously unused section opposite the old T2 complex. The former First Class footprint will be reworked into a larger Business Class SilverKris Lounge and an expanded KrisFlyer Gold Lounge as the T2 project progresses through 2026 and 2027. The design follows SIA’s current look with floor-to-ceiling windows, a 12-seat signature bar, and two bespoke chandeliers by Czech designer Michaela Mertlová featuring 128 hand-blown glass stars.

Spaces to work, dine, and unwind
The lounge is zoned for dining, work, and rest. You’ll find wingback chairs, productivity pods with power and task lighting, a meeting room for up to six with video conferencing, and two soundproof phone booths. Four semi-private resting pods sit in a quiet, sound-treated room and include adjustable Poltrona Frau recliners with pillows, blankets, and eyeshades.
Families get a children’s playroom with a PlayStation 5, tactile games, and a separate nursing room.

Accessibility has been considered throughout with step-free access, Braille signage, and hearing loop systems.
Dining and drinks
The buffet keeps popular SIA staples like SilverKris Laksa and chwee kueh. New live-cooking options are prepared by in-house chefs and served to your table. For November 2025, menus feature herb-roasted chicken cacciatore, a Mediterranean quinoa salad, and ondeh-ondeh cake. Drinks include the Singapore Sling, a SilverKris Bloody Mary, barista-made coffee, wellness-style juices such as Root Recovery, champagne, wines, spirits, soft drinks, and TWG teas.

Showers and amenities
There are 5 unisex shower suites in total, including 1 wheelchair-accessible room. Fixtures are by Grohe and Toto, amenities are Lalique Neroli, and Dyson hairdryers are provided.

Programme timeline
This opening marks the first milestone in a S$45 million Terminal 2 lounge renewal that will lift overall T2 lounge capacity by around 50% by mid-2027, when the new Business Class SilverKris Lounge and the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge open.
Singapore Airlines is also planning a new SilverKris Lounge in Melbourne, with works slated to begin soon and an opening targeted around late 2026 or early 2027.
