The Qantas Adelaide Business Lounge Is Now Open

It’s been a while but Qantas has finally opened a brand-new Business Lounge, this time in their Adelaide lounge precinct which already saw the new Qantas Club open its doors last November.

Created in partnership with Architectus, the new Domestic Business Lounge is a celebration of South Australia’s unique character, drawing design inspiration from three of the state’s most iconic landmarks: the lush Adelaide Botanic Gardens, the vibrant Adelaide Central Market, and the rugged natural beauty of Kangaroo Island’s Flinders Chase National Park.

With a capacity for 190 guests, the lounge showcases locally sourced furnishings, lighting, and natural materials, highlighted by a bespoke blown-glass light installation specially commissioned from Adelaide’s renowned JamFactory.

Launching in mid-2025, the standout feature of the Adelaide Business Lounge will be the Market Kitchen—a live cooking station inspired by the flavours and energy of the Adelaide Central Market and the state’s celebrated producers, including culinary icon Maggie Beer.

Connectivity won’t be an issue either, the new Qantas Adelaide Business Lounge comes equipped with easy access to USB-A/C and wireless charging in some 80% of the seating.

The new lounge is one of a few in the making right now with the new Qantas Auckland Lounge set to open its doors in 2026 and the long-awaited Sydney International Business Lounge scheduled for completion in 2027!

Who Can Access The Lounge?

Passengers flying in business class with Qantas or a Oneworld partner airlines will be able to access the Qantas Adelaide Business Lounge.

Those with Oneworld Emerald Status which is the equivalent of Qantas Platinum or higher will also gain access if they are travelling with Qantas or a Oneworld airlines in any cabin class.

When accessing the domestic lounges as a Qantas Platinum member, you may bring two guests and up to two children aged 4 to 17 years. Guests need to be travelling on a Qantas, Jetstar, Oneworld or eligible partner-marketed and operated flight that same day.

Passengers with Gold status or Qantas Club membership will be directed to the Qantas Club lounge which is right next door.

Summing Up

The new Qantas Adelaide Business Lounge is a great addition for frequent flyers and business travellers alike, and we’re looking forward to seeing how the dining concept pans out!
