Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer 2025 Devaluation
KrisFlyer is set to devalue from November 1 2025. Here are the key details you need to know.
KrisFlyer Devaluation
Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer has announced a devaluation to the program. Clues were first reported by our friends at The MileLion in June, so this change isn’t a surprise. The last devaluation was in 2022, so an increase of about 5% over 3 years is fairly normal.
Before you panic, the changes are modest. KrisFlyer has a track record of making devaluations fairly palatable; the boiling frog analogy comes to mind.
Thankfully, the majority of Business and First Class Saver awards will rise by around 5%, and some Economy Saver awards will even decrease by up to 5%. Unfortunately we are seeing some steep rises in Advantage Reward pricing as well as the Zone 10 for Saver Rewards.
KrisFlyer Advantage Rewards Changes
Below are the changes for KrisFlyer's Advantage Rewards, currently the most expensive award type which offers greater availability.

KrisFlyer Saver Reward Changes
Saver Rewards are the best value reward tickets you can book using your KrisFlyer miles. Luckily, these have the most modest changes compared to Advantage Rewards.

When will the changes start?
The current award charts are valid until 31 October 2025, with the new chart kicking in on 1 November 2025. Since the KrisFlyer booking window is 355 days, you can lock in flights for future travel if seats are available. Keep in mind that if you change flights and a ticket reissue is required after 31 October, the new pricing will apply. You can change the date of travel (US$25 fee on Saver, free on Advantage) and change to a different flight provided the route remains the same. You can also use the KrisFlyer waitlist, but note that if your waitlist clears after 31 October, you will be charged at the new price.
A New Award Type: “Access”
With these changes, KrisFlyer is introducing a new award type called “Access”. While full details aren’t out yet, it appears to be dynamic award pricing based on the cash fare, similar to Qantas Classic Plus. You’re likely to see better availability, but at a significantly higher miles cost.
Summing up
Devaluations aren’t fun, but they’re part of how frequent flyer programs work. KrisFlyer has given plenty of advance notice, and most increases are around 5%. The new “Access” award will be interesting to watch, though if it prices above Advantage it won’t add much value for most members. You can find the new reward charts here.
