While your next holiday is just a transfer away thanks to Virgin Australia’s latest loyalty offer, this deal makes life a little harder than it needs to be. Velocity continues to entice members to switch on auto transfers, offering a higher bonus and fewer restrictions. But in doing so, die-hard points enthusiasts realise cycling their auto transfers off before a promotion actually yields a larger bonus.
In May 2024, Velocity’s partner transfer offer covers most credit card reward programs, but you’ll need to transfer across two months for a 15% bonus or enable auto transfers for 20%.

To receive a 15% bonus, manually transfer points from one or more of the below Velocity program partners. You must transfer at least once in both May and June 2024 to receive a bonus.

It’s a good idea to transfer the minimum points in May, leaving your flexible rewards available in case a flight you want pops up with a different frequent flyer program in the meantime. Then, if not, you can make a larger transfer in June to receive bonus Velocity Points instead.
Auto Transfers: 20% Bonus Points
Enable auto transfers with one or more of the below Velocity program partners by 30th June 2024, and you’ll score a 20% bonus on Velocity Points automatically transferred between 1st May and 30th June 2024.
To be eligible, you must have had auto transfers switched off before this promotion started, and then have switched it on during the offer. There is no need to activate this offer.
