You can currently get 3,000 free Velocity Points through a new partnership between Velocity Frequent Flyer and Australian tour operator Inspiring Vacations. The best part is that there’s no spend requirement to earn the bonus points.

To unlock 3,000 Velocity Points, you’ll just need to link your Inspiring Vacations account to Velocity and agree to receive marketing emails. If you collect Velocity Points, this is one of the easiest wins out there.

The partnership itself allows members to earn 1 Velocity Point per $1 spent on eligible Inspiring Vacations bookings. It also unlocks the ability to redeem Velocity Points on holiday packages, with redemptions starting from 5,000 Velocity Points. That said, the redemption value with Inspiring Vacations is quite poor, falling well short of what you’d get redeeming for flights, although a fixed rate isn’t published.

Inspiring Vacations Offers 3,000 Free Velocity Points

Inspiring Vacations is offering what could be the easiest 3,000 bonus Velocity Points you’ll earn this year. The bonus is available to both new and existing customers and can be unlocked at no cost by opting into Inspiring Vacations marketing emails.

Simply link your Inspiring Vacations and Velocity accounts between 14 April and 9 June 2026 earn 3,000 Velocity Points. Rather annoyingly, the bonus points are awarded gradually over time. But considering how generous the offer is, we’ll let that slide.

• 1,000 Velocity Points after 30 days
• 500 Velocity Points at 90, 180, 270 and 365 days

In total, the points are spread across 12 months, but this is a set-and-forget earn. There’s nothing else you need to do after linking, but you must remain opted into receiving marketing emails.

If you want the full 3,000-point bonus but prefer not to receive multiple emails, an easy workaround is to filter all emails from Inspiring Vacations into a specific folder and leave them unread. You could also mark them as spam, but there is a risk that this could interfere with your subscription status being classed as active.

That said, the value of these redemptions can vary, and without a published rate, it’s difficult to quantify exactly what you’re getting. But in most cases, it’s likely to be a pretty bad deal from a cents per point standpoint.

Summing Up: My Take

The 3,000 free Velocity Points are the real highlight here. It’s an easy, no-spend win and well worth grabbing while it’s available, as there aren’t many valid reasons to pass on free points.

The broader Inspiring Vacations partnership is less compelling unless you were already planning to book with them. The earn rate is modest, and for comparison, you could earn 3 Velocity Points per $1 spent booking directly with IHG hotels. Redemptions aren’t where you’ll get close to maximum value from your Velocity Points, but it’s still nice to have another option.
