New and moving AGL Energy customers in New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, and Victoria who switch their gas and electricity to the AGL Velocity offer before 12th October 2026 can earn up to 35,000 Velocity Points over 12 months. In Western Australia, customers who switch to AGL for gas only can earn up to 12,500 Velocity Points.
35,000 Velocity Points is enough to book almost any domestic Virgin Australia flight in business class. If you’d prefer to travel in economy, it’s enough for five one-way flights on shorter routes under 600 miles, such as Melbourne-Sydney.
Earn Velocity Points On Electricity & Gas With AGL
Until 12 October 2026, you can earn Velocity Points on selected AGL gas and electricity plans, in areas that AGL services. The amount of bonus Velocity Points earned depends on the plan you sign up for:
- Gas only: 10,000 Velocity Points
- Electricity only: 20,000 Velocity Points
- Electricity & Gas: 30,000 Velocity Points
Those bonus points will be credited within 45 days of your energy supply commencing. You’ll also receive an anniversary bonus after remaining on the plan for 12 months:
- Gas only: 2,500 Velocity Points
- Electricity only: 2,500 Velocity Points
- Electricity & Gas: 5,000 Velocity Points
For those who are existing AGL customers, you can earn 6,000 Velocity Points when switching to the AGL Velocity offer. That’s 3,000 Points for electricity and 3,000 Points for gas.
