KrisFlyer is the loyalty program of Singapore Airlines, and every month they offer discounted award flights on a handful of routes. It’s called KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes, with redemptions slashed by 30% in Economy, Premium Economy and Business Class.

Spontaneous Escapes are essentially sale fares for KrisFlyer redemptions and are limited to last-minute bookings on specific flights. While these tickets are subject to a few restrictions, they generally represent fantastic value. It’s a great promotion to stretch the value of your KrisFlyer Miles, with many travellers eagerly awaiting the release of Spontaneous Escape routes.

The current Spontaneous Escapes offers are available on bookings made until 31 July 2024, for travel from 1-31 August 2024.

Before securing your 30% discount on Saver Awards, there are a few restrictions to be aware of;

  • Bookings must be made through the Singapore Airlines app or website.
  • You need to make your redemption by 31 July 2024.
  • You must complete travel between 1 and 31 August 2024.
  • You must make a one-way or return booking, stopovers are not permitted.
  • You must book the specified flight numbers.
  • Some blackout dates apply.

How To Earn KrisFlyer Miles In Australia?

In Australia, the easiest and best way to earn KrisFlyer miles is to sign up to an American Express card that earns Membership Rewards. As well as being easy to earn, transfers to Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer are typically instant, which is useful for deals such as this. The American Express Platinum (currently with 150,000 bonus points) is your best bet for a premium Card, but the American Express Explorer (currently with 50,000 bonus points) is also a solid option with a lower fee.
