Switch To Origin Energy For Up To 60,000 Bonus Everyday Rewards
That’s 30,000 Qantas Points after conversion
If you’re considering switching energy providers, Origin Energy is currently offering a meaningful incentive to make the move.
Until 2 June 2026, eligible Everyday Rewards members can earn up to 60,000 bonus Everyday Rewards Points when signing up to an Origin electricity and/or gas plan. For something you’re already paying for, that’s a relatively strong return.
Those points translate into real value. You could convert them into 30,000 Qantas Points, which is enough for a one-way domestic Qantas business class flight. Alternatively, you can redeem for $300 off your groceries at Woolworths.
60,000 Bonus Everyday Rewards With Origin Energy
This offer is split by fuel type:
- 40,000 points for electricity
- 20,000 points for gas
Note that this is a targeted offer, and not all members will be eligible. You can check if you’re eligible by looking for the promo in your Everyday Rewards app. As well as being targeted for this offer, you will need to meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Remain connected to your Energy Plan for a minimum of 30 days
- Provide your Everyday Rewards number to Origin when you join
- Must not have received a sign-up bonus in the past 10 months for the same fuel type
Bonus points should land in your Everyday Rewards account within about 45 days of joining Origin. You can find more information and join at the offer page here.

Is This Promotion Good Value?
Because Everyday Rewards partners with Qantas, 60,000 ER Points can be converted into 30,000 Qantas Points. That’s enough for a one-way Qantas business class flight from Melbourne to Brisbane, where cash fares often sit in the $600 to $1,000 range.
If you prefer a more straightforward redemption, the same 60,000 Everyday Rewards can be redeemed for $300 off your groceries at Woolworths.
That said, the bonus points are only part of the equation. What matters more is whether the energy plan itself is competitive. If Origin’s rates are higher than your current provider, even by a modest amount, that difference can quickly eat into the value of the bonus. If that is the case, the upfront reward becomes far less compelling.
Summing Up: My Take
It’s always great to see bonus offers on utilities, because they’re tied to expenses you’re already likely to make. That said, the underlying plan still matters more, with the points best viewed as a sweetener and not the main reason to switch.
If the pricing stacks up and you’re eligible, this offer is an easy way to extract extra value from a necessary expense. With up to 60,000 Everyday Rewards Points available, it’s one of the more generous sign-up deals currently in the market.
