Bupa Offers 120,000 Points On Health Insurance

Bupa is currently offering new customers up to 120,000 Everyday Rewards Points when taking out a combined Hospital and Extras health insurance policy. This is one of the larger points offers available on health insurance in Australia.

Thanks to the partnership between Everyday Rewards and Qantas Frequent Flyer, those bonus points can be converted into 60,000 Qantas Points. That’s enough for a range of domestic and short-haul international flights in business class.

The maximum bonus is available to customers taking out eligible couple, family or single parent policies, while eligible single policies receive 60,000 Everyday Rewards Points.

The offer is only available on combined Hospital and Extras cover and cannot be stacked with other promotional join offers, so it is still worth comparing overall pricing and inclusions before making the switch.

Earn 60,000 Or 120,000 Everyday Rewards Points On Bupa Health Insurance Policies

Eligible new Bupa customers who take out an eligible combined Hospital and Extras policy can receive either 60,000 or 120,000 Everyday Rewards Points, depending on the type of policy selected.

The offer is only available on combined Hospital and Extras cover issued by Bupa. Hospital-only, Extras-only and Ambulance-only policies are excluded.

Because Everyday Rewards Points convert to Qantas Points at a 2:1 ratio, you could be earning up to 60,000 Qantas Points thanks to Bupa.

To be eligible for the bonus points, you must not have held domestic Bupa health insurance within the previous 60 days. You must also join directly through Bupa using the promo code REWARDS120, and not via any other offer or comparison website.

You’ll be eligible for the bonus points after maintaining the same level of cover for 60 continuous days, excluding any free cover periods. Points will then be credited to your Everyday Rewards account within 30 days of satisfying all requirements.

You can find the offer page on the Everyday Rewards website here.

How To Earn The Points

To receive the bonus points offer, customers must:

  1. Take out an eligible Bupa combined Hospital and Extras policy between 14 May and 8 July 2026.
  2. Sign up directly on the Bupa website and use promo code REWARDS120 when joining.
  3. Link your Everyday Rewards account within 30 days of joining.
  4. Maintain the policy and pay premiums via direct debit for at least 60 days.

What Could The Points Be Worth?

One of the more appealing parts of this offer is the ability to convert Everyday Rewards Points into Qantas Points.

For example, customers taking out an eligible single policy would receive 60,000 Everyday Rewards Points, which converts into 30,000 Qantas Points. That's enough to book a one-way Qantas business class reward flight from Sydney to Hamilton Island, which costs 29,000 Qantas Points plus around $90 in taxes.

Of course, you could also redeem those 60,000 Everyday Rewards Points for $300 off a Woolworths shop, but converting to Qantas Points would almost guarantee significantly more value. In the Hamilton Island example, cash fares are priced between $800 and $1,200, potentially delivering up to four times the value of redeeming the points for groceries.

Customers eligible for the larger 120,000 Everyday Rewards Points bonus would receive 60,000 Qantas Points after conversion. That’s enough for a range of return domestic business class or one-way short-haul international reward flights.

Summing Up: My Take

This is one of the more generous Everyday Rewards offers we’ve seen recently on Bupa Health Insurance. What makes it particularly appealing is that there is no minimum spend, unlike many other health insurance points deals that award bonuses by spending tier. Even Bupa’s most basic combined Hospital and Extras policies are eligible.

That said, health insurance is still an important financial decision, so it’s worth comparing overall pricing, inclusions and exclusions against your current provider before switching. The bonus points should be viewed more as a bonus on top rather than the sole reason to move insurers. After all, it rarely makes sense to pay significantly higher premiums or sacrifice coverage purely for points.
