Luxury Escapes Société Guide: Status, Points & Rewards Explained
Getting started with Luxury Escapes Société
Luxury Escapes launched Société in April 2025 as its own loyalty program, marking the company’s biggest move yet into the travel rewards space.
Société is free to join and allows members to earn Société Points, Status Credits, and Status Nights on hotels, flights, tours and cruises booked through Luxury Escapes. These points can then be redeemed towards future Luxury Escapes bookings, while Status Credits and Status Nights help members unlock elite status perks.
Member perks are available from the base Bronze status tier, including free 1GB international roaming data for international bookings. Progressing throgh the Silver, Gold and Platinum tiers unlocks even more perks such as airport lounge passes, chauffeur transfers, complimentary room upgrades and tour credits.
Unlike traditional airline and hotel loyalty programs, Luxury Escapes Société does not currently publish fixed earn rates or standard redemption pricing. Instead, points earning and redemption is dynamic between packages.
This beginner’s guide explains everything you need to know about Luxury Escapes Société, including how Société Points work, member benefits, redemption options, and the upcoming Société credit card.

Société Status Tiers Explained
Like most loyalty programs, Société features multiple membership tiers that unlock increasingly valuable travel perks as you move up the ranks. There are four Société status tiers - Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum.
Members progress through the tiers by earning both Status Credits and Nights through Luxury Escapes bookings, including on:
- Hotel stays
- Cruises
- Tours
- Flights (only earn Status Credits)
The number of Status Credits earned will differ based on each booking, and is shown when booking. Status Nights are generally earned in line with the number of nights your booking consists of.
Status Credits and Status Nights will reset at the end of each membership year for tier qualification purposes. Below are the number of Status Credits and Status Nights required to unlock each Société tier.

The higher tiers focus heavily on travel benefits rather than airline-style upgrades, with perks including:
- Room upgrades
- Airport lounge passes
- Chauffeur airport transfers
- International eSIM data allowances
Here’s a full breakdown of the benefits offered at each Société tier.

How Société Points Work
As a member of the Société loyalty program, you’ll earn Société Points on eligible travel purchases made through Luxury Escapes. This includes booking hotels, flights, cruises and tours. Note that you won’t earn Société Points on gift cards, service fees and some ancillary items.
You can then redeem those Société Points towards future bookings through Luxury Escapes using Société Rewards or the Points + Pay slider on the payment page.
Importantly, Société Points don’t operate like traditional airline frequent flyer points with a fixed redemption value or award chart. Instead, the number of Société Points you earn, as well as the number of Société Points needed for a redemption, will vary for every package.
This can make it pretty challenging to extract maximum value from your points. Société Points work less like a traditional rewards program, where you can find outsized value, and more like a cashback system for frequent Luxury Escapes customers.
How Many Société Points & Status Credits Do You Earn?
Luxury Escapes sets Société Points and Status Credits earn rates on a package-by-package basis, rather than using a fixed public earn rate. To better understand how points earning works in practice, we analysed 20 randomly selected Limited Time Lux Exclusive hotel packages, Lux Exclusive cruise offers and Luxury Escapes tours that appeared on the website.

Data in the above table was collected from the Luxury Escapes website on 26 May 2026.
Based on our analysis, Luxury Escapes’ Limited Time Lux Exclusive hotel packages earned an average of 2.26 Société Points per dollar spent, alongside 3.88 Status Credits per $100 spent. While individual offers varied slightly, hotel packages generally delivered the most consistent earn rates across the program.
Cruise offers delivered weaker returns, averaging just 0.71 Société Points per dollar spent and 1.08 Status Credits per $100 spent. Finally, Luxury Escapes tours sat somewhere in the middle, averaging 2.04 Société Points per dollar spent and 2.72 Status Credits per $100 spent.

Redeeming Société Points
There are currently two different ways to redeem Société Points through Luxury Escapes: Points + Pay and Société Rewards.
Points + Pay
Points + Pay is the most common redemption option and applies across most Luxury Escapes offers. Members can use some or all of their Société Points to reduce the cost of eligible bookings at checkout using the Points + Pay slider.
This can be found on the payment screen, before you enter your card details. You need a minimum of 1,000 Société Points to redeem via Points + Pay.
As there is no published redemption rate, we analysed multiple Luxury Escapes Limited Time Lux Exclusive packages, outright hotel, and tour bookings. We found that Points + Pay redemptions offered an average value of around 0.48 cents per Société Point.
In practical terms, this means that redeeming 1,000 Société Points will reduce the cost of a booking by around A$4.80. The exact discount will vary depending on the package and booking type.

Data in the above table was collected from the Luxury Escapes website on 26 May 2026.
Société Rewards
Société Rewards is a new addition to the program, offered on selected Luxury Escapes charter flights. It's not currently offered on hotel-only bookings. As of May 2026, Société Rewards inventory is only available on Maldives flights, with more offers to come later in the year.
Société Rewards follows a fixed-point redemption system that works similarly to airline reward seats like Qantas Classic Rewards or Velocity Reward Seats. Rather than using a dynamic Points + Pay slider, selected flights can be booked for a fixed amount of Société Points plus any applicable taxes or fees.
The cheapest Société Rewards package available at the time of writing was a 5-night stay at SAii Lagoon Maldives, including return flights and package inclusions for 240,000 Société Points + A$2,598 for two adults. The same package booked entirely with cash would cost A$4,798, implying a redemption value of roughly 0.917 cents per point after factoring in the mandatory cash component.

Using the average earn rate we calculated above of 2.26 Société Points per dollar spent across Limited Time Lux Exclusive packages, a member would need to spend roughly $106,200 to accumulate enough points for this redemption. In other words, you receive a $2,200 discount on that Maldives package after spending over $100,000 through Luxury Escapes. That’s around 2.1% back in redemption value.
Do Société Points Expire?
Yes, Société Points expire on a rolling basis depending on how they were earned.
Standard Société Points earned from Luxury Escapes bookings expire 36 months after the checkout date of that booking, unless redeemed earlier. Importantly, earning new points does not reset the expiry date of previously earned points.
Some bonus points will have shorter expiry periods:
- Welcome bonus points expire after 3 months
- LuxPlus+ renewal bonus points expire after 6 months
- Promotional bonus points earned without spending expire after 6 months

Coming Soon: Luxury Escapes Société Credit Card
In an exciting move for the Australian rewards credit card space, Luxury Escapes is soon to launch its very own credit card, which will earn Société Points on everyday spending. We don’t yet have all the details for the new card, but we do know that the Luxury Escapes Société Credit Card will be issued by MoneyMe and launch towards the end of 2026.
While some readers may be unfamiliar with MoneyMe, they’re a fully regulated Australian financial services provider. They’re not a traditional bank like CommBank or ANZ, and instead operate as a digital-first lender focused on consumer finance, including personal loans, automotive lending and rewards cards. In fact, MoneyMe already offers its own credit card product in Australia.
It’s expected that cardholders will earn 2 Société Points per dollar spent on the card.
Is Société Better Than Booking Direct?
One of the biggest advantages of booking through Luxury Escapes is the bundled value. Many packages include extras like daily breakfast, dining credits, and room upgrades that you might not receive when booking directly with the hotel.
It’s also worth remembering that Luxury Escapes isn’t just about holiday packages. The platform allows members to book standalone hotels, often at prices that are competitive with or better than major online travel agencies. For independent hotels and boutique resorts that don’t belong to a major loyalty program, booking through Luxury Escapes can be particularly attractive. That's because you can earn Societe Points and Status Credits on top of any promotional pricing or LuxPlus+ discounts.
The downside is that most hotel loyalty programs generally won’t honour elite status benefits or hotel points earning on third-party bookings. So if you don’t already hold hotel elite status, or found a particularly strong Luxury Escapes package, it absolutely makes sense to earn with Société on top.
Flights are a little different, however, as Luxury Escapes allows travellers to attach their airline frequent flyer number to eligible bookings. This means you can often still earn airline points and status credits in addition to Société Points.

Is LuxPlus+ The Same As Société?
While both LuxPlus+ and Société are both memberships run by Luxury Escapes, they are two completely different programs.
Société is Luxury Escapes’ free loyalty program, allowing members to earn Société Points, Status Credits and travel perks when booking through the platform. Meanwhile, LuxPlus+ is a paid membership that unlocks discounted subscriber-only pricing on eligible Luxury Escapes offers.
The two programs can also be stacked together. LuxPlus+ members can still earn Société Points and Status Credits on eligible bookings, while also accessing their discounted subscriber pricing.
Summing Up: Final Verdict
At the end of the day, Luxury Escapes offers many genuinely compelling holiday packages with premium perks included. If you’re already booking through the platform, joining Société is a no-brainer, given its program is completely free. It is always better to earn some points than no points!
However, it’s important to understand that Société works very differently from traditional airline frequent flyer programs. Rather than offering fixed-value earn and burn with redemption ‘sweet spots’, the program behaves more like a cashback scheme to save a little on your next booking.
