Qantas Adds Condor As New Airline Partner
You can now redeem Qantas Points for flights with Condor
Qantas Frequent Flyer has launched a partnership with German airline Condor, giving members a new way to redeem Qantas Points for flights across Europe, the Mediterranean, North America, and the Caribbean.
Classic Reward seats are now available for booking across Condor's global network of more than 70 destinations. Members can use Qantas Points to book Condor flights in economy, premium economy, and business class. However, for now there is no option to earn Qantas Points on Condor flights.
Although famous within Europe for its distinctive, beach-towel-striped aircraft livery, Condor might be little known to Australian travellers. In fact, Condor does not operate flights to Australia. Its closest destination is Bangkok, Thailand.

The German leisure carrier operates a modern widebody fleet, including new Airbus A330neo aircraft featuring 30 lie-flat seats in business class.
Qantas Loyalty CEO Andrew Glance explained that the Condor partnership would deliver more choice and value for frequent flyers.
“We know how much our members love using their points to travel internationally, especially across Europe...Adding a world-class carrier like Condor only strengthens our program and global footprint even further, as our members map out their travel for the year ahead.”
The Condor news comes after hints dropped last week, as Qantas prepares to shake up elite status in its loyalty program. Here's what you need to know about Qantas' partnership with Condor.
Where Does Condor Fly?
Condor doesn't fly to Australia, and its reach into Asia is thin at best. With a hub in Frankfurt, most of Condor's long-haul flights will arrive and depart there, but the German airline also has a secondary hub in Munich for shorter and regional routes.
Naturally, Condor has a solid reach throughout Europe, plus several transatlantic flights to North America and the Caribbean. Beyond that, the network extends into the Middle East and Africa.
Flight Connections lays out the full picture of where Condor flies from Frankfurt.

Booking Condor With Qantas Points
Like most of Qantas' partner airlines, Condor redemptions are priced using the Partner Classic Flight Reward table. You can redeem Qantas Points for a Classic Reward seat in economy, premium economy, and business class with Condor.

The table below shows how many Qantas Points you'd need for a redemption to/from Frankfurt.

Summing Up
Condor is a genuinely exciting addition to Qantas Frequent Flyer, promising hundreds of thousands of new Classic Reward seats across Europe.
The catch for Australians is that Condor doesn't touch Australia at all, so this partnership is most useful if you're already in Europe and looking to hop around from there. Either way, I am excited to be able to book the stripy German airline using Qantas Points.
