Great news for Perth based Qantas Points collectors! It appears Qatar Airways have just scheduled their 777-300ER configured with QSuites on the Perth to Doha route for October, November and December 2019.
While the A380 is equally fantastic, the QSuites are by far my favourite business class product, and Perth to Doha is a perfect amount of time to experience them. You could even make your whole itinerary Qsuites when connecting to selected European destinations or the US.
From what I can tell the B777-300ER is scheduled from October right through December 2019 and goes back to the A380 (which of course features the excellent Qatar Airways first class) in January.
How to book it?
For Australian travellers, Qantas Frequent Flyer would be the best choice.
However, it looks like Qatar Airways are pretty stingy when it comes to releasing reward seats for the 777 operated flights. I suspect we’ll see more seats become available, but they’re most likely expecting a lot of demand from paying passengers.
A one-way ticket from Perth to Doha will set you back 92,000 Qantas Points + $494 in taxes (ouch!)
